Another piece of the Super Mario Galaxy Movie rollout has quietly surfaced, this time in the toy aisle.
A new Bowser Jr. & Clown Car figure from Jakks Pacific has appeared at Walmart locations, first spotted by collector account ToyShiz.
The listing points to an upcoming release tied directly to the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, adding yet another licensed product to what’s becoming a steadily expanding promotional
A Familiar Rollout for Jakks Pacific
Jakks Pacific handled the toy line for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, rolling out multiple waves of figures, vehicles, and playsets over time rather than releasing everything at once. Based on what’s now appearing at retail, the Super Mario Galaxy Movie looks to be following that same approach.
The Bowser Jr. figure is listed as a 5-inch scale release packaged with his Clown Car, complete with movie branding and a visible barcode already active in Walmart’s system. Store listings currently show the item as register-locked, which typically means a street date is set, most likely February 1, even if it hasn’t been publicly announced yet.
The packaging also offers a hint at what else is coming. Alongside Bowser Jr., the box art shows a Yoshi Egg–themed playset. While only that single playset is visible so far, its inclusion points to this being part of a broader rollout.
That kind of staggered reveal is consistent with how Jakks has handled Mario products in the past, especially around major releases. Toys tend to surface quietly at retail first, followed by wider availability and additional figures as the release window gets closer.
Part of a Broader Super Mario Galaxy Movie Push
This latest toy sighting isn't the only Super Mario Galaxy Movie related merchandise to appear. Over the past several weeks, a steady stream of Super Mario Galaxy Movie tie-ins has begun showing up across retail and media, pointing to a wider, coordinated rollout.
That includes the movie-themed cereal that appeared at Walmart, the Old Spice collaboration that introduced Super Mario Galaxy Movie products in personal care, and the Bubly Super Mario Galaxy Movie sparkling water.
We also got a dedicated Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct, which revealed Yoshi and helped set expectations for the film ahead of release.
On the publishing side, Archie Comics has announced a Galaxy-themed one-shot scheduled to arrive a few weeks after the movie hits theaters. It is not a direct adaptation, but it adds another licensed piece to the wider campaign.
This Is Just the Beginning
With Bowser Jr. now appearing at retail, it’s only the beginning of the Super Mario Galaxy Movie toy lineup. Jakks Pacific typically supports its movie releases with multiple waves, and the packaging already hints at additional figures still to come.
Combined with the cereal, personal care products, comics, and promotional tie-ins now surfacing, the picture is becoming clearer. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie isn’t just arriving in theaters. It’s rolling out across shelves, stores, and pop culture in a steady, coordinated way.
When more figures, product listings, or official announcements appear, we’ll continue tracking how the rollout unfolds as April 1st gets closer.
