Dippin’ Dots is joining the growing wave of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie food tie-ins with a limited-time flavour, collectible cups, and character spoons tied to the film’s April 1 theatrical release. On its official promo page, Dippin’ Dots says the crossover includes an in-store cup giveaway, exclusive character spoons, and a brand-new limited-time flavour called Galaxy Pop.
Galaxy Pop, Mario Day Cups, and Character Spoons
Galaxy Pop is the centre of Dippin’ Dots’ The Super Mario Galaxy Movie promotion. The company describes it as a limited-time mystery flavour with popping candy mixed in, while the dedicated flavour page calls it “perfectly sweet” and “a little surprising.” Dippin’ Dots also says the popping candy adds “a flavor boost in every bite,” with Galaxy Pop available at participating store and shopping centre locations.

The promotion also ties directly into MAR10 Day, the annual Mario Day celebration on March 10. According to the official campaign page, a limited number of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie collectible cups will be handed out at participating Dippin’ Dots store and shopping centre locations on that day only. That same page also says fans can pick up one of three exclusive character spoon designs while supplies last.

Between the limited-time flavour, the one-day collectible cup giveaway, and the spoon designs, this is more than a simple menu add-on. Dippin’ Dots is treating Galaxy Pop as part of a broader movie tie-in built around in-store collectibles as well as the flavour itself.
Canada Is Still the Big Open Question
The big question now is whether any of this is crossing the border. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie promo page does not currently say that Galaxy Pop, the March 10 collectible cups, or the character spoons are part of a Canadian rollout. We have reached out to Dippin’ Dots for more information on Canadian availability and will update this story if the company confirms local plans. Until then, the safest read is that this announcement only guarantees availability at participating locations listed through the company’s current promotion page.
Another Super Mario Galaxy Movie Tie-In Hits the Snack Counter
Even with that Canada question still open, this is another sign that The Super Mario Galaxy Movie merchandise push is getting bigger as the April 1 release gets closer. Between Bubly’s sparkling water crossover, Archie Comics’ Game Galaxy one-shot, Old Spice’s Super Mario collection, and the Super Mario Galaxy Movie cereal, Nintendo and its partners are building a much wider retail presence around the film. Dippin’ Dots now adds a branded frozen treat tie-in to that growing list.
