Max Parker has been cast as Heimdall in Prime Video’s upcoming God of War live-action series from Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.

The casting adds another name to the growing list of actors joining the series, which is currently in pre-production in Vancouver as the rest of the cast continues to come together.

Max Parker Joins the Series as Heimdall

Heimdall is introduced as the Watchman of Asgard and one of Odin’s sons, known for his ability to anticipate what’s about to happen. In the series, he’s positioned as a character who feels overlooked and driven to prove himself, which fits neatly into the family tension and power struggles that define the Norse side of God of War.

Parker brings a growing list of television credits to the role. He recently appeared in Netflix’s Boots as Sergeant Sullivan and has also been seen in Vampire Academy, Doctor Who, Blood, Sex & Royalty, and Emmerdale, along with other UK television projects.

Where the God of War Series Stands

The series is based on PlayStation’s God of War and has received a two-season order. The story follows Kratos and Atreus as they set out to spread the ashes of Faye, with the relationship between father and son at the centre of the journey.

Previously announced cast includes Ryan Hurst as Kratos. If you missed it, you can catch our earlier coverage here: Ryan Hurst cast as Kratos.

More Casting Updates Likely Next

With Parker now confirmed as Heimdall, the show’s supporting cast is starting to take shape. There’s still no release window, but if casting continues at this pace, more announcements are likely as production moves forward.
