VGLX 2026 takes place October 24 and 25 at the International Centre in Mississauga. This year's programme includes horror demos, independent game showcases and appearances by video game voice actors. Miss Behaviour's Horror Indies is advertising five playable games, including Mr. Magpie's Harmless Card Game, Don't Fret, Terrible Lizards and It Has My Face.

The programme also features Torn Banner Studios' No More Room in Hell 2, while the exhibitor directory lists games from independent developers. Craig Burnatowski, Jon McLaren and Damon Papadopoulos are among the scheduled guests. Pokémon activities and esports tournaments are also planned for the weekend.

Horror Games and Hands-On Experiences

Alongside the four named horror games, Miss Behaviour's Horror Indies is advertising a fifth playable game that hasn't been identified yet. VGLX also has a Resident Evil fan meetup planned, including a photo wall for visitors.

No More Room in Hell 2 brings cooperative zombie survival into the programme. Torn Banner Studios' multiplayer horror game features teams battling through zombie hordes. VGLX features the game on its website, but hasn't confirmed a playable demo. The Indie Game Zone, by comparison, advertises demos and opportunities to meet developers.

VGLX is also offering Meta Quest 3 experiences featuring Gorilla Tag, Beat Saber, Hot Shot and Transformers: Beyond Reality Redux. Visitors will be able to try all four games at the event.

Indie Showcases Include Iron Husk and Retroronto

Alientrap has two games in the eight-game EH Game Showcase, Iron Husk and Merky Bay. Starspray Studios' Retroronto appears alongside Breach The Abyss from Digital Firewood, Bound by Valor from Overscoped Studios and GrimRail from Infinite Loop Studios.

The SOGD section of the exhibitor directory adds another ten games. Among them are Akiiwan: Relaxing Survival from Little Buffalo, Winterover from Blimey and Hope in the City from Lofty Sky. Together, the two showcases name 18 games and their developers, beyond the larger attractions promoted across the event.

The wider directory also includes AkulDev Studios, Jason Anarchy Games, Mega Power Games and Ocean Mouse Studio. The exhibitor directory identifies participating studios but doesn't confirm a playable build at every booth. Visitors looking for a particular game will need to check its demo plans.

Voice Actors and Pokémon Activities at VGLX

Three voice actors are scheduled to appear over the weekend. Craig Burnatowski played Albert Wesker in the 2023 Resident Evil 4 remake. Jon McLaren voiced Star-Lord in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, while Damon Papadopoulos played Markos in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. The guest programme also includes a Creator Lounge featuring online creators, voice actors and cosplayers.

Pokémon activities include a scavenger hunt where visitors can photograph 20 hidden Pokémon to claim a prize. Mascot appearances and a trading-card pavilion are also planned. There's also Proxy Party, where visitors can create a custom Pokémon card for an additional $30. Beyblade fans can take part in free play and a tournament.

Electric Clash returns as part of the esports programme, featuring Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, Guilty Gear Strive and MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Electric Clash is an official TEKKEN World Tour 2026 Challenger event, with finals planned for the main stage.

VGLX 2026 runs October 24 and 25 at the International Centre, located at 6900 Airport Road in Mississauga. Tickets start at $20, with adult weekend passes advertised at $35. In its October 14 newsletter, VGLX confirms that children aged 12 and under can attend free with a ticketed adult. The official VGLX website has the latest programme, ticket options and admission information.
