Snoop Dogg has officially entered HITMAN World of Assassination. IO Interactive has launched The Herbalist, a new limited-time Elusive Target mission featuring his likeness and voice.
The mission is playable now through September 26, 2026. Snoop Dogg plays Dr. Cyrus Cane, an entrepreneur preparing to launch a cookie brand called Morsizzles despite evidence linking the product to deaths during testing.
Naturally, Agent 47 has been sent to deal with the problem.
The Herbalist Sends Agent 47 to Haven Island
Dr. Cyrus Cane is holding a pre-launch party on Haven Island ahead of the worldwide rollout of Morsizzles.
Agent 47's job is to stop Cane and make sure the product doesn't make it to market. That puts the mission right in familiar HITMAN territory, with a crowded location, a high-profile target, and plenty happening around him.
Snoop Dogg isn't simply appearing as himself for a cameo. He provides the likeness and voice for Cane and is at the centre of the assignment.
Haven Island access is required to play the standard Elusive Target version of The Herbalist.
Snoop Dogg's Son Cordell Broadus Is in the Mission Too
There's another celebrity connection tucked into The Herbalist.
Snoop Dogg's son, Cordell C. Broadus, appears at the Haven Island party as a guest. IO Interactive says this makes Snoop Dogg and Cordell Broadus the first father-son duo to appear together in the HITMAN franchise.
Cordell isn't another target. Dr. Cyrus Cane remains Agent 47's objective, while Cordell is part of the party built around Cane's Morsizzles launch.
It's a small detail, but it makes this crossover feel like more than simply dropping Snoop Dogg's likeness onto an existing HITMAN character.
The Herbalist Is Available Through September 26
The standard Elusive Target version of The Herbalist is available for a limited time through September 26.
IO Interactive says the mission can also be accessed through the HITMAN World of Assassination Free Demo. The Free Demo route uses The Herbalist Assignment and does not require Haven Island to be unlocked.
There is an additional restriction on Nintendo platforms. HITMAN World of Assassination is required to play the content on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
IO Interactive is also selling a separate Herbalist Pack for US$7.99 / €7.99 / £6.99. This shouldn't be confused with the limited-time Elusive Target.
The paid pack includes permanent access to The Visionary, a two-level Elusive Target Arcade contract featuring The Herbalist, along with The Herbalist Assignment and 16 challenges. It also includes several themed items and Freelancer Safehouse cosmetics.
The Herbalist Pack arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4.
If you just want to see Snoop Dogg as Dr. Cyrus Cane, the important date is September 26. That's when the limited-time version of The Herbalist leaves HITMAN World of Assassination.
