Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1, “The Long Goodbye,” launches July 29 with a free limited S-Rank Agent choice and that Agent’s corresponding exclusive W-Engine. Proxies can select Jane, Soldier 0 - Anby, Hugo, Trigger, or Lucia as part of the game’s second-anniversary celebration.

The update also introduces Remielle Dan as Zenless Zone Zero’s first Lumiflux attribute Agent, with Sigrid arriving during the second half. A new permanent mode called Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel joins the game on the same day, while an XBOX PC version expands cross-platform play within the XBOX ecosystem.

The free Agent and matching W-Engine are easily the biggest reason to log in for the anniversary. This isn’t just another bundle of upgrade materials. It lets returning Proxies choose a character that fits their account and collect the weapon designed for that Agent at the same time.

Remielle Dan Introduces the Lumiflux Attribute

Remielle Dan is an S-Rank Anomaly Agent and the first character to use the Lumiflux attribute. Her Attribute Flux mechanic changes her damage attribute to match the next Agent in the squad, which opens more team options against enemies with different weaknesses.

She can also build resources to enter Phase Flow. This state supports the squad without keeping Remielle on the field, and a full resource meter lets her descend with an Assist Attack. Her Lumiflux-exclusive Refringe reaction converts Anomaly Buildup into a final burst of damage.

Remielle’s exclusive Signal Search remains available throughout Version 3.1 instead of ending halfway through the update. Sigrid follows in the second half as an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent. When an Unbridled Spear skill hits an enemy, she enters Aerial Patrol Spear Form, opening alternate Basic Attacks and temporarily raising her CRIT Rate.

Anniversary Rewards Include a Free S-Rank Agent and W-Engine

Every Proxy can choose Jane, Soldier 0 - Anby, Hugo, Trigger, or Lucia during Version 3.1. The selected Agent comes with the corresponding exclusive W-Engine, so the anniversary reward includes both the character and their signature equipment.

Version 3.1 login rewards total 1,600 Polychromes. HoYoverse is also offering up to 20 Signal Searches across the full version, with the second-half check-in event adding 10 Encrypted Master Tapes.

That choice makes the reward more useful than a fixed character giveaway. A newer account can fill a missing role, while a returning Proxy can target an Agent they skipped without also having to chase the matching W-Engine separately.

Enigma of the Labyrinth Becomes a Permanent Mode

Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel sends Eous into a corrupted Hollow after the Labyrinth Carrot attracts a large Ethereal. Proxies enter stages to gather supplies, increase their strength, and evacuate before time runs out once they have secured enough loot.

Collected supplies can be invested in the research station to improve its capabilities. The mode follows a seasonal update cycle, includes exclusive seasonal rewards, and shares weekly progress with Hollow Zero.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1 launches July 29 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, XBOX Cloud Gaming, PC, iOS, Android, and Steam. The new XBOX PC version arrives alongside the update and supports cross-platform play between console and PC within the XBOX ecosystem.
