By Jon Scarr
PlayStation State of Play returns Tuesday, June 2nd, with the broadcast scheduled for 5:00 PM ET and 2:00 PM PT. You’ll be able to watch it live on YouTube and Twitch, with the full stream lasting more than 60 minutes.
So far, the only game confirmed to appear is Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games. The upcoming State of Play will give us an extended look at the third-person action-adventure game, with Logan’s combat and new details planned before its September 15 launch.
PlayStation hasn’t announced any of the other games they will be showing at the State of Play yet, so there’s still room for a lot more news, announcements and updates beyond Wolverine.
Marvel’s Wolverine Leads PlayStation’s June 2nd State of Play
Marvel’s Wolverine, one of PlayStation’s most anticipated games this year. Insomniac Games is building a single-player action game around Logan, close-range combat and a story that digs through his past.
We already know this isn’t just Spider-Man with claws. Earlier footage showed Logan moving between the Princess Bar, Madripoor, Tokyo and several colder outdoor areas, including the Canadian wilderness. Omega Red and Mystique have also been shown or hinted at, giving Insomniac plenty of comic history to pull from.
The June 2nd State of Play should give us a better look at how Logan actually fights. That’s the part I’m most curious about. Wolverine needs to hit harder and look more dangerous than Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, and this State of Play is the next chance to see that difference in motion.
Marvel’s Wolverine launches September 15, 2026 and now it’s time to see more of the claws.
