| Crimson Desert arrives on GeForce NOW as a day-one launch on March 19 with GeForce RTX 5080-class power. |
By Jon Scarr
This week's GFN Thursday brings two things worth getting excited about. Crimson Desert finally arrives in the cloud as a day-one launch with GeForce RTX 5080-class power, and GeForce NOW just made VR gaming significantly better for Ultimate members with 90 FPS support across Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest, and Pico devices.
This week's pick of the bunch is Crimson Desert. Pearl Abyss' open-world action adventure has been on a lot of radars for a while now and it's the kind of game that benefits most from cloud gaming. Big cinematic fights, large-scale exploration, and combo-heavy combat across any device without worrying about system specs. If you've had it on your wishlist, today is the day.
New Games on GeForce NOW This Week
Here's what's new on GFN Thursday this week:
- Everwind (New release on Steam, March 17, GeForce RTX 5080-ready)
- Retro Rewind: Video Store Simulator (New release on Steam, March 17)
- Crimson Desert (New release on Steam, March 19, GeForce RTX 5080-ready)
- Fallout 3 (Steam)
Crimson Desert and Fallout 3 are the two names to call out here. Crimson Desert is a day-one launch and Fallout 3 is a welcome catalog addition for anyone who wants to revisit the Capital Wasteland without digging out old hardware. It holds up better than people remember.
VR Gaming on GeForce NOW Gets a Big Upgrade
GeForce NOW is raising the frame rate ceiling for VR gaming. Ultimate members can now stream at up to 90 FPS on Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest, and Pico devices. If you've spent time gaming in VR you know how much smoother everything feels at higher frame rates.
It makes a real difference, especially during longer sessions. This is a worthwhile upgrade for anyone already using GeForce NOW through a VR headset.
World of Tanks Mafia Battle Pass Runs Through March 29
World of Tanks is running a limited-time Battle Pass Special called Mafia from March 19 to 29. It brings Mafia-inspired characters from 2K's original game, Lost Heaven-themed cosmetics, and the Italian Predatore tank to the battlefield. If you play World of Tanks on GeForce NOW, this is a good reason to jump in this week before it wraps up.
One more thing worth knowing: four games including Cyberpunk 2077, Forza Motorsport, Icarus, and Ark: Survival Ascended will no longer be available on the free tier starting April 1. Premium members can keep playing all four uninterrupted.

Wrapping Up This Week on GeForce NOW
Between Crimson Desert landing day-one, 90 FPS VR support rolling out, and the Mafia Battle Pass kicking off in World of Tanks, this is one of the more packed GFN Thursdays in a while. The GeForce NOW Reddit community is also running a VR headset giveaway this week. Keep an eye on GFN Thursdays and I'll have the updates as each new wave drops.
