Nintendo of Canada is taking Nintendo Switch 2 on the road. Hands-on demos are coming to select EB Games, Walmart, Best Buy, and London Drugs locations across the country. You can try the new system, check out the Joy-Con 2 controllers, and play a mix of new and returning games.
This promo is built around in-store demo stations. Participating locations will have Nintendo Switch 2 units set up so you can walk up, play a race or a match, then move on to the next game.
Most of the games on show come from Mario, Donkey Kong, Pokémon, Metroid, and Zelda-related series, with some titles tied to specific chains or locations.
Games You Can Try on Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo of Canada is focusing this demo tour on a mix of platformers, racers, sports, and action games. Here is the lineup and where you can expect to see each title.
Games Available at All Participating Stores
These games are listed as available at every store taking part in the demo program:
- Mario Kart World
- Donkey Kong Bananza
If you just want to get a feel for Nintendo Switch 2 and try multiplayer racing or colourful platforming, you should be able to find at least one of these at any participating location.

Other games are limited to specific chains or select stores:

Lineups can vary from store to store, especially where “select” locations are mentioned. It is a good idea to check in with your local shop or online store locator before heading out. That is especially true if you are chasing a specific game.

Nintendo of Canada lists EB Games, Walmart, Best Buy, and London Drugs as partners for this promotion. You can use each retailer’s store locator to find participating locations near you. Nintendo has also shared a list of Walmart stores confirmed for demos.

A Good Chance To Try Nintendo Switch 2 Before Buying
If you haven’t tried Nintendo Switch 2 yet, these in-store demos give you a straightforward way to see the newer screen, Joy-Con 2 controllers, and a slice of the existing lineup on real hardware. You can jump into Mario Kart World, trade rallies in Mario Tennis Fever, revisit Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel, and play Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, or Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment where they are set up.
The events are set up as family-friendly drop-in demos. You can visit the nearest participating store, play a few rounds, and see how Nintendo Switch 2 fits into your setup at home.
