This week’s Nintendo Download lands on Christmas Day, which already sets the tone. It is all about easy games to jump into, whether you are passing controllers around or sneaking in some playtime once things slow down. Nothing here feels out of place for the day.

You get party games that work for groups, a couple of longer single-player games if you want something more focused, a holiday-timed online event and an eShop sale that is hard to ignore if you just added funds to your account. It is a smaller update compared to some recent weeks, but it fits exactly where we are in the calendar.

Here is everything included in this week’s Nintendo Download.

Holiday Game Highlights

This week’s spotlight is clearly aimed at how people actually play on a holiday. If you are sitting down with friends or family, Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV feels like the obvious pick. It is easy to start, easy to explain, and it does not matter if someone has not touched a controller in a while.

Mario Kart World showing up here is no surprise either. It is still one of those games you can throw on without much setup and have everyone racing within minutes.

If you end up with some quiet time later on, Hollow Knight Silksong and Hades II – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition fit that slower pace. They are better for settling in and focusing once the day starts to wind down.

Nintendo Music Update

The Wii Party soundtrack is now available on the Nintendo Music app. It includes tracks like “Globe Trot,” “10,000 Medals in the Bank” and “Board Game Island.” It is a nice pull if you remember those games, and it fits the holiday theme of keeping things light.

They make for easy listening if you want something on in the background.

Online Event

Kirby Air Riders “Everyone, to the Stadium!” Event

A new online event is live in Kirby Air Riders on Nintendo Switch 2. The “Everyone, to the Stadium!” event puts players into fixed eight player Trials, all focused on the same Stadium contest.

Nintendo Switch Online members can earn points based on their results and trade those in for in game rewards. The event runs through December 28 at 7 p.m. PT, so it lines up well with the holiday break.

Nintendo eShop Holiday Sale

The Hits for the Holidays Sale is now live on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It includes discounts on a wide range of digital games, including Princess Peach Showtime and The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom.

The sale runs until January 4 at 11:59 p.m. PT. If you received eShop credit today, this is probably where it is going.

Wrapping Up This Week’s Nintendo Download

This is a holiday focused Nintendo Download, and it does its job. You get party games for shared time, longer adventures for quieter moments and a sale that gives you an excuse to browse the eShop again.

If you are settling in today, this feels like a good mix. Whether you are racing, rolling dice or finally starting something you have been putting off, there is enough here to fill the day.

What are you playing first?
