PlayStation has kicked off Black Friday a little early this year. The company just announced its full lineup of Black Friday 2025 deals, covering PS5 consoles, accessories, games, and PlayStation Plus savings. It is always interesting when these posts go live because they set the pace for the rest of the holiday season. This one has a lot to dig into.
If you are keeping up with the big sales across all platforms, I also covered Nintendo’ Canada's 2025 Black Friday deals. It is shaping up to be a busy week for anyone watching the holiday discounts roll out.
PlayStation’s announcement goes through everything included in this year’s lineup, from PS5 bundles and accessory discounts to a big digital game sale on PlayStation Store. PlayStation Plus is also part of the event with a solid discount on 12-month memberships and upgrades. It feels like one of the more complete Black Friday breakdowns we have seen from them.
The only thing missing for now is region-specific pricing. PlayStation confirmed that local deals will vary and that the official Black Friday page will update on November 21 with regional details. That is when we will get the full Canadian breakdown. For now, here is everything PlayStation announced today and what you can expect once the sale goes live.
PS5 Console Deals
PlayStation is putting a big focus on PS5 hardware this year. The announcement lists two Fortnite Flowering Chaos bundles, both built around the PS5 and the PS5 Digital Edition. Each one includes PlayStation-exclusive in-game content and 1,000 V-Bucks, which should get attention from anyone who spends time in Fortnite. The bundles are listed in USD, and the exact price in each region will update once the Black Friday site goes live on November 21.
The PS5 Digital Edition 825GB – Fortnite Flowering Chaos Bundle will be available at a recommended retail price of 399.99 USD. The standard PS5 Console 1TB – Fortnite Flowering Chaos Bundle is listed at 449.99 USD. Both bundles include the same in-game extras, so the choice mainly comes down to whether you prefer the disc drive.
PlayStation also notes that select regions will see 100 USD off PS5 consoles, 100 USD off PS5 Digital Edition consoles, and 100 USD off PS5 Pro consoles. It is not confirmed which regions this applies to yet, but it is good to see the PS5 Pro included. The hardware discounts usually sell fast, so it will be worth keeping an eye on the Black Friday page when the regional details update.
PS5 Accessories Deals
Alongside the console bundles, PlayStation is discounting a wide range of PS5 accessories. The list covers pretty much everything most people look for during Black Friday. These prices are listed in USD and will update for each region once the Black Friday site goes live on November 21.
PlayStation confirmed 100 USD off PlayStation VR2, which is one of the biggest accessory discounts this year. The PlayStation Portal remote player is also getting 20 USD off, which should interest anyone thinking about streaming their PS5 on a second screen. I have seen a lot of interest in Portal lately, so this deal will probably get some traction when the promotion starts.
The Pulse Elite wireless headset is dropping by 20 USD, and the Pulse Explore wireless earbuds will be 30 USD off. Both devices support PlayStation’s new PlayStation Link audio tech. The DualSense Edge is also seeing a 30 USD price cut, and the standard DualSense controller is listed at 20 USD off. PlayStation even included the Access controller, bringing it down by 20 USD during the event.
If you are looking to upgrade your setup or add a spare controller, this seems like one of the more wide-ranging accessory lists PlayStation has offered for Black Friday. It covers something for almost every type of setup.
PlayStation Plus Membership Discounts
PlayStation Plus is also part of this year’s Black Friday event, and the discounts are pretty straightforward. During the promotion, anyone joining PlayStation Plus can save up to 33% on a 12-month membership. Current members can also save 33% when upgrading the rest of their existing plan from Essential or Extra to Premium or Deluxe. It is a simple offer, but it is usually one of the more popular Black Friday deals they run.
PlayStation used this announcement to highlight some of the games available in the Extra and Deluxe or Premium tiers, including titles like The Last of Us Part II, Cyberpunk 2077, Mortal Kombat 1, and Hogwarts Legacy. Premium members also get cloud streaming for select PS5 games from their library and the catalogue, which still feels like a solid perk if you like swapping screens or using a PlayStation Portal.
There is also a note about the Sony Pictures Core app. Premium members have access to a rotating catalog of up to 100 movies they can stream on demand. During the Black Friday promotion, PS5 and PS4 owners will see discounts on movies, with PlayStation Plus members getting even bigger markdowns on recent releases. It is a nice bonus if you use the service between gaming sessions.
PlayStation Store Digital Game Sale
PlayStation is also running a large digital sale on PlayStation Store as part of the Black Friday event. The announcement highlights discounts of up to 75% on PS5 and PS4 games. The full list will go live when the sale starts on November 21, but PlayStation did give a quick look at some of the titles included.
Games mentioned in the announcement include Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Lost Soul Aside, Astro Bot, and God of War Ragnarök. That is already a mix of major releases and big first-party titles, so it will be interesting to see what else ends up in the full catalog once the sale page updates. Black Friday usually brings a wide spread of discounts, ranging from newer releases to older favourites.
Since the complete lineup is not posted yet, this is one of those sales where it is worth checking the store directly when the promotion starts. It looks like PlayStation is setting up a straightforward digital event with a lot of variety.
PlayStation Gear Store Sale
PlayStation Gear is also joining the Black Friday event with a big sitewide discount. PlayStation confirmed 60% off across the entire store, covering apparel, collectibles, drinkware, and themed items based on franchises like Astro Bot, The Last of Us Part II, and God of War Ragnarök. No promo code is required, so everything will drop in price automatically once the sale starts.
The Gear Store usually mixes standard merchandise with limited-run items, so this discount might be a nice way to pick up something that catches your eye. It is one of the largest percentage cuts PlayStation announced for Black Friday this year. If you are into collecting shirts, mugs, or small desk items, this is probably the easiest part of the promotion to browse without worrying about region-specific details.
PlayStation Canada and What to Expect
The announcement does not include any Canadian pricing yet. PlayStation confirmed that deals will vary by region, so the discounts listed in USD are not final for Canada. The good news is that the official Black Friday page will update with regional details on November 21, which is when we will see the full Canadian breakdown.
If you plan to shop the PlayStation deals here in Canada, the best move is to check that page once it goes live. It will list local pricing, participating retailers, and any regional differences. I will be keeping an eye on it as well since some PlayStation deals tend to shift slightly from one country to another during Black Friday.
This year’s discounts look wide ranging, so it will be interesting to see how they translate for Canadian stores and the Canadian PlayStation Store. Once the page updates, we should have a clear picture of everything available here.
Final Look at This Year’s PlayStation Black Friday Deals
PlayStation kicked things off with a big list this year, and it is always fun when these announcements land right before the holiday rush. The hardware discounts, the accessory price drops, and the digital game sale give everyone a few different ways to jump in. I always like seeing the mix of console bundles and smaller accessories because it makes the whole event feel a bit more flexible depending on what you need.
Since the Canadian details go live on November 21, it is worth checking back once the Black Friday page updates. That is when we will see how all these deals line up with Canadian pricing. I am curious to see how the PS5 and PS5 Pro discounts translate here because those usually draw the most attention.
If you are planning your holiday list, this is a pretty good place to start. Let me know which deals you are thinking about grabbing once everything goes live.
