Nintendo is kicking off the holidays in Canada with plenty of reasons to celebrate. Whether you’re finishing your shopping list or looking for new games to play, this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals cover a little bit of everything. From big-name releases to bundles and even in-store demos, it’s a great time to be a Nintendo fan.
The 2025 holiday lineup includes savings on The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, and a few fan favourites like Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 3. You’ll also find discounts on select amiibo, accessories, and even storage cards to keep all those downloads in one place.
If you’ve been holding off on upgrading or adding to your collection, Nintendo’s holiday offers at Best Buy, EB Games, and Costco make it easy to jump in.
Game Discounts and eShop Deals
Starting November 20, Nintendo’s Cyber Deals sale goes live on the My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The sale runs through December 3 at 11:59 p.m. PT and features deals on a wide mix of games.
Retailers like Best Buy, Costco, and EB Games will also offer physical copies of select titles at special prices. Princess Peach: Showtime!, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe drop to $59.99 CAD each. Meanwhile, Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo Switch Sports, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Splatoon 3 will be $54.99 CAD each.
Even better, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Super Mario Odyssey, and Splatoon 3 all include free Nintendo Switch 2 updates, giving you smoother gameplay and higher resolution visuals when played on the new
system.
Bundles and Hardware Offers
If you’re shopping for a new system, this season brings several bundle options. The Nintendo Switch 2 retails for $629.99 CAD, or you can grab the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle for $699.99 CAD.
For anyone who prefers classic family fun, the Nintendo Switch + Nintendo Switch Sports + Leg Strap Bundle offers a full-body experience at $419.99 CAD, saving you about $70 compared to buying separately.
Nintendo also reminds fans that the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Bundle is available at $699.99 CAD and includes a Nintendo Switch 2 system plus a digital copy of the game.
amiibo and Accessories
Collectors can add to their shelves with savings on Street Fighter 6 amiibo figures featuring Jamie, Kimberly, and Luke. The Street Fighter 6 – amiibo Card Starter Set is also included in the sale, each at $15 CAD off MSRP at participating retailers.
Starting November 30, fans can also get $25 CAD off Samsung MicroSD Express Cards, making it easier to expand storage for downloaded games and eShop purchases on both Switch systems.
In-Store Demos and Events
If you’d rather play before you buy, Nintendo has a full lineup of free in-store events this season. On November 22, participating Costco stores will feature hands-on demos for Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and more. Then, on December 6 and 7, EB Games locations will host gameplay sessions for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.
Families in Mississauga, Edmonton, and Laval can check out the Mario & Friends: Holiday Experience running from November 26 to December 6. You’ll be able to try Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2, and Nintendo Switch Sports on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 systems.
Wrapping Up the Holidays with Nintendo
This year, Nintendo Canada’s really leaning into the holiday spirit. It’s not just about sales — it’s about getting people together to play. Between new releases, upgrades for Switch 2 owners, and the return of familiar favourites, it feels like there’s something for every kind of gamer.
If you’ve been waiting to pick up Echoes of Wisdom or Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, now’s the time. And if you’ve been curious about the Switch 2, these bundles make jumping in a lot easier. I like that Nintendo’s also doing in-store demos again. It brings back that old-school, hands-on excitement we don’t see as often from PlayStation or Xbox.
So whether you’re racing through Mario Kart World at Costco or checking out the Mario & Friends event in Montreal, this holiday season is packed with reasons to grab a controller and play.
