AISLPC has opened pre-orders for Pocket AIS, its new retro gaming handheld shipping October 24, 2026. The Black / 64GB option is currently listed at $159.99 USD, with a Green model also available.

AISLPC lists support for NES and Game Boy games, along with Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and PSP. Pocket AIS has a 4.5-inch IPS screen and Ais OS, a custom operating system based on Rocknix.

Pocket AIS Supports Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and PSP

Also on the compatibility list are Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and Mega Drive. Arcade support includes Neo Geo, MAME, NAOMI and CPS1/2/3.

The IPS screen has a 1024 × 768 resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio. That's the shape many older console games were made for, so there's no need to stretch them across a widescreen display.

You've got a D-pad and ABXY buttons for older 2D games, plus two 3D analogue sticks for games built around analogue movement. There are Hall-effect linear triggers too, which can detect how far they're pressed in games that support analogue controls. RGB light rings surround both sticks, and vibration is included.

Ais OS Pairs With Rockchip RK3562

Ais OS has an interface built specifically for Pocket AIS. If you like tinkering with retro handhelds, there's also a community version of Rocknix available for further customization.

Inside, the Rockchip RK3562 processor is paired with 2GB of RAM. The store lists 64GB and 128GB options, plus a microSD slot that accepts cards up to 512GB. That's useful if you've got a larger collection of retro games you want to keep on the handheld.

The cooling fan uses temperature readings from multiple sensors to adjust its speed automatically as the workload changes. You won't need to adjust it yourself when switching between games. The two speakers use specially moulded acoustic chambers.

Black and Green Models Ship October 24

Both colours are available for pre-order, with October 24 listed as the shipping date.

Pocket AIS supports Wi-Fi 6 on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and AISLPC advertises online multiplayer support. There's also a USB-C port with OTG support. If you prefer wired headphones, there's a 3.5mm jack too.

AISLPC advertises “6+ hours” of intensive gaming from the 4000mAh battery. The handheld measures approximately 168.3 × 82 × 20.4 mm and weighs 246g.

I'm curious to see how Pocket AIS handles Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, and PSP games. Those are the systems I'd want to try first, especially since they can be trickier to emulate than older consoles. I'd also like to get my hands on it and try Ais OS for myself.
