SteelSeries and KontrolFreek have launched the Cozy Collection for fall 2026. It adds Matcha and Yuzu colourways to the Arctis GameBuds, along with matching No-Slip Performance Thumb Grips. Both accessories became available September 1.
These aren’t new GameBuds models. SteelSeries is bringing the two colours to its existing wireless gaming earbuds. KontrolFreek carries the same Matcha and Yuzu look over to its controller thumb grips.
Existing owners aren’t left out either. The 2026 firmware update applies to every Arctis GameBuds model.
Matcha and Yuzu Join the Arctis GameBuds Line
The Matcha and Yuzu versions keep the features already available in the Arctis GameBuds. A compact USB-C dongle handles low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless audio for gaming. Bluetooth 5.3 is available for compatible devices.
The GameBuds work with PS5, XBOX, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Quick-Switch Wireless lets you move between the 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connections from the earbuds.
The Mobile Arctis App has more than 200 game-specific audio presets, and you can change them without leaving the game.
Battery life is rated at more than 10 hours from the earbuds. The charging case brings total use to more than 40 hours and supports Qi wireless charging. The GameBuds also carry an IP55 rating for resistance to dust and water.
The reason to look at Matcha or Yuzu comes down to the new colours. If the existing finishes weren’t for you, SteelSeries now has two very different options.
The 2026 Firmware Update Is for Every GameBuds Model
The new colours arrive alongside a firmware update that isn’t limited to the Cozy Collection.
SteelSeries says the 2026 firmware increases connection power and adds listen-before-talk, or LBT, for channel selection. LBT checks a wireless channel before transmitting. SteelSeries says the change can improve channel selection when wireless interference is present.
The update applies to every Arctis GameBuds model. If you already own a pair, you can get the firmware changes without buying Matcha or Yuzu.
KontrolFreek Adds Matching No-Slip Thumb Grips
KontrolFreek is carrying Matcha and Yuzu over to its No-Slip Performance Thumb Grips. The soft rubber covers fit over existing controller thumbsticks.
The soft rubber covers fit over existing controller thumbsticks and are designed to add grip, comfort, and control. They’re compatible with XBOX and PlayStation controllers, plus the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
The Matcha and Yuzu Arctis GameBuds and matching KontrolFreek thumb grips are both available now.
