Tickets for Resident Evil are now on sale, and Sony Pictures has released a new poster ahead of the September 18 theatrical release. Austin Abrams’ Bryan appears beneath a blood-covered wall phone, with the receiver hanging loose above him.
The poster also confirms that Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil was filmed for IMAX. Sony’s official Resident Evil movie site now has ticket purchasing available.
The New Resident Evil Poster Centres on Bryan
The new poster keeps the focus on Bryan and one very bad night. An old wall phone sits near the middle of the artwork, with blood across the phone and wallpaper. Bryan crouches underneath it with blood on his face and a gun beside him.
That matches the basic story Sony has shared so far. Bryan is a medical courier whose route turns into a night-long fight to stay alive.
Austin Abrams stars as Bryan, with Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, and Paul Walter Hauser also in the cast. Sony calls the movie a reinvention of the Resident Evil franchise and says it tells an all-new story.
The poster doesn’t bring Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, or another familiar game lead into the artwork. Everything here stays with Bryan and whatever has happened around that phone.
Resident Evil Was Filmed for IMAX
The new poster carries a “Filmed for IMAX” line directly beneath the September 18 theatrical date. That wording is more specific than simply saying the movie will screen in IMAX theatres.
Zach Cregger directs Resident Evil and co-wrote the screenplay with Shay Hatten. Sony is billing him as the director of Weapons and Barbarian directly on the poster.
Bryan remains the focus of the current campaign rather than a familiar game lead. We still don’t know exactly what sends his courier route so badly off course.
Tickets are already available through the official Resident Evil movie site. The blood-covered phone also ties into the current ticket campaign. Resident Evil’s official social promotion has used the line “Incoming call from Raccoon City” alongside the on-sale message.
Resident Evil reaches theatres September 18, 2026. Judging by the poster, Bryan probably shouldn’t answer that phone.
