Blizzard Entertainment has announced Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection for Nintendo Switch 2, launching September 15. Revealed during the BlizzCon 2026 Opening Ceremony, the Nintendo Switch 2 version will support cross-platform play and cross-progression.
Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection brings together Diablo IV, Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred, and Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred in one release. If you already have progress in Diablo IV on another supported platform, cross-progression means you won’t have to start over when you move to Nintendo Switch 2.
Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection Arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 September 15
Nintendo Switch 2 gets Diablo IV on September 15 through Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection. Blizzard confirmed the release during BlizzCon 2026 as part of its latest Diablo IV announcements.
The collection includes Diablo IV along with Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred and Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred. Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred introduced the Spiritborn class and continued the campaign beyond the original Diablo IV ending. Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred followed on April 28, 2026.
Blizzard also says Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection on Nintendo Switch 2 includes Diablo IV’s evolving endgame. The BlizzCon announcement didn’t include resolution or frame-rate targets for Nintendo Switch 2, so we don’t have a technical breakdown of this version yet.
Cross-Platform Play and Cross-Progression Come to Nintendo Switch 2
Cross-platform play means Nintendo Switch 2 owners can continue playing Diablo IV with people on other supported platforms. If your regular Diablo IV group already plays across different platforms, bringing Nintendo Switch 2 into that mix won’t split everyone up.
Cross-progression is just as useful if you already have a Diablo IV character elsewhere. You’ll be able to continue that progress on Nintendo Switch 2 instead of keeping a separate save just for this version.
Blizzard’s Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection information also states that an internet connection and Battle.net account are required to play.
Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection Includes Both Expansions
Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection packages Diablo IV with Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred and Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred. That means someone starting with Diablo IV on Nintendo Switch 2 gets the base game and both expansions together rather than beginning with the original release alone.
Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred launched on April 28, 2026, so the Nintendo Switch 2 version arrives with both major expansions already available. That gives Nintendo Switch 2 owners a straightforward way into the current Diablo IV package when Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection launches September 15.
Blizzard hasn’t shared every Nintendo Switch 2-specific detail yet, but the important parts are already confirmed: Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection launches September 15 with cross-platform play, cross-progression, Diablo IV, Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred, and Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred.
