Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis has revealed Adrienne Wilkinson as Jacqueline Natla, Lara Croft’s nemesis from her original 1996 adventure. The casting is the focus of the seventh episode in the game’s ongoing behind-the-scenes mini-documentary series.
The new episode looks at how Natla is being reimagined for Legacy of Atlantis. She remains the immortal former ruler of Ancient Atlantis and CEO of Natla Technologies, putting her directly against Lara as the secrets of Atlantis begin to unfold.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis reimagines Lara Croft’s original adventure with modernized gameplay, redesigned environments, familiar puzzles with new mechanics, and additional surprises. The game launches February 12, 2027, on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Adrienne Wilkinson Takes On Jacqueline Natla
Wilkinson sees Natla as more than someone standing between Lara and her goal. In the new mini-documentary, she describes the character as a “noble foe” who pushes Lara to go further and continually raises the stakes.
That gives this version of Natla an important role in how Legacy of Atlantis revisits Lara’s first adventure. The game is returning to recognizable characters and ideas from 1996 while also reworking them for this new version.
Wilkinson also describes Natla as terrifying while making it clear that there is something compelling about being around her. That combination fits a character who can challenge Lara without simply existing as another obstacle in her path.
Legacy Of Atlantis Is Rebuilding Lara Croft’s First Adventure
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a single-player, narrative-driven action-adventure based on Lara Croft’s 1996 debut. Lara sets out on a globe-trotting journey to uncover the lost secrets of Atlantis, with familiar parts of the original adventure being rebuilt and expanded.
The mini-documentary series has been showing different parts of that process over the past several episodes. Recent entries have focused on areas such as traversal, puzzles, combat, and progression before turning the attention to Natla this week.
The game will also revisit recognizable moments from the original, including the T-Rex encounter. Crystal Dynamics describes these returning elements as being transformed into larger cinematic gameplay encounters rather than simply recreated as they were.

The Natla episode adds another piece to what Amazon Game Studios and Crystal Dynamics have been showing through the making-of series. This time, the focus moves away from how Lara explores and fights and onto one of the characters who will be standing against her.
With Adrienne Wilkinson now confirmed as Jacqueline Natla, we have a much clearer idea of how one of Tomb Raider’s original villains is being approached for Lara Croft’s reimagined first adventure.
