The upcoming Kagurabachi anime has added two more names to its cast. Miku Ito will voice Hinao, while Miyari Nemoto will play Char Kyonagi when the Weekly Shonen Jump adaptation begins streaming in April 2027.

Both characters also received new visuals and individual trailers in English and Japanese, providing another look at how Takeru Hokazono's manga is being adapted for animation.

Miku Ito Takes on Hinao

Hinao works at Cafe Haru Haru and acts as an intermediary between people looking for help and the sorcerers capable of providing it. She eventually takes Char under her protection and connects her with Chihiro and the others.

Ito said she approached Hinao with natural, conversational dialogue in mind while also looking for opportunities to bring out the character's comedic side.

She joins a cast that already includes Taihi Kimura as Chihiro Rokuhira, Tomokazu Seki as Kunishige Rokuhira, and Katsuyuki Konishi as Togo Shiba.

The new Hinao trailer provides the first dedicated preview of Ito's performance.

Miyari Nemoto Joins as Char Kyonagi

Char is a young girl being pursued for reasons tied to the larger story. Her situation eventually brings her into Chihiro's path through Hinao.

Nemoto said Char doesn't always have long lines, which put more emphasis on communicating her emotions clearly in a small amount of dialogue. She also said the role became a lot of fun once recording started.

Char has received her own character trailer alongside Hinao, with both English and Japanese versions now available.

Kagurabachi has already built a sizeable following before the anime arrives. The manga has surpassed four million copies in circulation, including digital editions.

Kagurabachi Arrives in April 2027

Cypic is producing the anime, with Tetsuya Takeuchi directing and Keigo Sasaki handling character design.

The story follows aspiring swordsmith Chihiro Rokuhira after his father is killed and six powerful Enchanted Blades are stolen. Chihiro takes up Enten, the seventh blade left by his father, and sets out after the Hishaku.

Kagurabachi is set to begin streaming in April 2027 through Crunchyroll, MUSE, SMG HOLDINGS, and other partners.

There is still plenty of time for more casting announcements before then, but adding Hinao and Char fills out another important part of Chihiro's circle. The new character trailers also mean fans don't have to wait until next year to hear what Ito and Nemoto are bringing to the roles.
