MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls has completed its launch roster with Blade, Loki, and Deadpool joining Ghost Rider on the Samurai Outriders team. That brings the Arc System Works Marvel fighter to 20 playable characters for launch.

The next chance to try the game follows in July. MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Open Beta runs July 24 through July 26 PT on PS5 and PC, with Blade confirmed as a playable character.

Samurai Outriders Complete The MARVEL Tōkon Fighting Souls Launch Roster

Samurai Outriders is the fifth and final team in MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The group brings together Blade, Loki, Deadpool, and Ghost Rider, which is a pretty wild mix for a Marvel team fighter from Arc System Works.

Ghost Rider had already been shown before this reveal, so Blade, Loki, and Deadpool are the new pieces here. Blade is probably the cleanest fit from a fighting game point of view, since his sword, vampire-hunting style, and close-range pressure should translate easily into an Arc System Works fighter. Loki brings the trickster side of Marvel into the roster, and Deadpool adds the kind of character who can break the mood of a match without clashing with the rest of the roster.

Episode Mode should have room to make that lineup clash before it turns them into a real team. That should be more fun than treating every team like instant allies from the first scene.

Asgard Brings Five Marvel Locations Into Battle

Asgard is also joining MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls as a new multi-zone stage. The level moves through five locations tied to Marvel’s Asgard side, including the Observatory, Bifrost Bridge, Throne Room, Treasure Vault, and Yggdrasil.

That stage has a clearer purpose here because MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a 4v4 fighter with Marvel-themed stages, team composition, and interactive stage transitions. It isn’t just a plain background swap behind the match.

Asgard fits the Loki and Samurai Outriders reveal, especially with the Bifrost Bridge and Yggdrasil in the mix. Those are easy Marvel locations to recognize, and they bring something different from the Wakanda and Knowhere stages shown in earlier roster updates.

MARVEL Tōkon Fighting Souls Open Beta Starts July 24

The Open Beta turns the roster news into something you can try later in July. It runs July 24 through July 26 PT on PS5 and PC, and Blade will be playable during the test.

I had a great time with the second beta, even with the areas that still needed work, so I’m genuinely excited to see how this next test plays. MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls already had me curious because of its four-character team format, and adding Blade this close to launch makes the July beta even more interesting.

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is getting close to launch now, and the roster picture is finally complete. With Blade confirmed for the July test, the Open Beta should make it easier to judge how one of the final roster additions fits into Arc System Works’ Marvel fighter.

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls launches August 6, 2026 for PS5 and PC and I can't wait to play.
