PlayStation just confirmed the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for May 2026, bringing a mix of major sports simulation and dark action RPGs to the service. Starting May 5, 2026, add EA Sports FC 26 and Nine Sols to your PS4 or PlayStation 5 library. The third addition, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, is available exclusively for PlayStation 5 owners. You have until June 1 to claim these games before the next rotation arrives.

EA Sports FC 26 brings the pitch to your console

EA Sports FC 26 is a major addition for football fans this month. If you haven't jumped into the current season yet, the HyperMotion technology makes player collisions and movement look more natural than previous entries. You get full access to Football Ultimate Team (the card collecting competitive mode) and a special Icons Pack that is exclusive to PlayStation Plus members.

If you're jumping in for the first time, check the Tactical Presets in the team management menu. This allows you to set a specific philosophy that changes how your AI teammates move when they don't have the ball. It’s a complex way to play, but building a squad from scratch is the best part of the experience.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers offers a dark challenge

If you are looking for a more challenging experience, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a Soulslike action RPG set during the final years of the Ming Dynasty. You play as a pirate warrior dealing with a curse called Feathering, which turns humans into bird-like monsters. It’s a Soulslike, so don't expect it to go easy on you. The bosses are huge and require you to master several different fighting styles to survive.

The look captures a harsh mood that fits the setting. You have to be exact with your parry timing, so practice on the smaller enemies near the start to get the window down. It saves a lot of frustration when you eventually hit the first major boss wall.

Nine Sols combines Sekiro combat with Taopunk style

Nine Sols is easily the sleeper hit of the month. The developers call the style "Taopunk," which blends Taoism with futuristic sci-fi. It’s a 2D action platformer with hand-drawn art that looks clear even on a large screen. The way the game works is heavily inspired by the deflection features found in Sekiro, meaning you have to be aggressive.

Here is a pro tip: don't treat this like a standard platformer where you can just jump over every obstacle. You must master the frontal parry to build up energy for your explosive attacks. The vibe is unique and the story carries a lot of impact.

Claim your May games starting May 5

Download all three games starting May 5. This also means you only have until May 4 to claim the April lineup. If you haven't yet, make sure you add Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream to your library. You don't need to install them right away. Just hitting "Add to Library" keeps them in your collection as long as you have an active subscription.
