Planning a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood or Universal Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort? Now's a great time to go. Both parks are kicking off limited-time Super Mario Galaxy Movie experiences on MAR10 Day, Tuesday, March 10. They run daily through Monday, April 13, 2026.

The first Mario movie was a massive deal. It became one of the highest-grossing video game movies ever made. It proved Nintendo properties could work on the big screen when handled right. So yeah, the follow-up getting a full park activation makes total sense.

The big draw? Yoshi is doing a limited-time meet and greet at both locations. If you've got little ones, that alone is worth the trip. Lifelong Yoshi fans will be pretty happy about it too.

The food lineup is genuinely cool too. You can grab a Rosalina Cupcake, a blue velvet cupcake with blueberry cheesecake filling, lemon buttercream, and a chocolate crown and star on top. There's also Galaxy Popcorn, a multicoloured berry-flavoured popcorn with edible glitter. Not your average theme park snack. Most movie tie-in food doesn't get this creative.

On the merchandise side, the Luma shoulder pals are the item worth picking up. They come in blue and yellow, feature lights and sounds, and communicate with each other when close together. That interactive element is a nice detail. It's not just a plush you toss in a drawer when you get home.

Over at CityWalk (both Hollywood and Orlando) there's a themed photo op. It's set up as a galactic tunnel inspired by the film. Worth a stop if you're already there.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie hits theatres on April 1, 2026. You can catch it at Universal Cinema at CityWalk Hollywood or Universal Cinemark at CityWalk Orlando. The film is from Nintendo and Illumination, distributed by Universal Pictures worldwide.
