GPTRACK50 has released the first gameplay trailer for Stupid Never Dies, showing much more of the studio’s upcoming 3D action RPG after its reveal at The Game Awards 2025. The new footage premiered during Future Games Show: Spring Showcase 2026 and puts the focus on Davy’s combat styles, body upgrades, and the strange monster-ruled world he is trying to fight through.
The trailer also gives Dr. Frank and Julia a bigger presence than the original reveal did. Dr. Frank is shown as one of the people pushing Davy forward, while Julia remains at the centre of the story as the frozen human girl Davy wants to bring back to life.
Davy’s Combat Gets a Proper Gameplay Showcase
The first gameplay trailer finally shows how Davy’s styles and upgrades work in action. Davy can devour enemies through Style Eat, steal their powers, and switch into different forms. GPTRACK50 says the full game includes 11 styles, with the trailer showing forms such as Werewolf, Harpy, Golem, Vampire, Lich, and Demon.
The trailer also introduces Body Hack, which lets Davy equip modified parts to his left arm, right arm, head, and legs, along with Davy Burst, a temporary power-up state that boosts his abilities after repeated attacks. The December reveal focused more on tone and characters. This trailer spends much more time on combat, styles, and upgrades.
Davy, Julia, and Dr. Frank Take a Bigger Role in the New Trailer
Stupid Never Dies follows Davy, a timid zombie at the bottom of monster society, as he heads into a monster-filled dungeon to try to bring Julia back to life. Dr. Frank is one of the main forces pushing that journey forward, and the new trailer keeps the game’s strange humour tied closely to Davy’s push to bring Julia back.
The same trio sat at the centre of the game’s first reveal at The Game Awards 2025, but this time the footage puts them much closer to the action.
Stupid Never Dies Is Set to Launch on PS5 and Steam in 2026
GPTRACK50 still has not announced a final release date, but Stupid Never Dies remains scheduled for 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. After the original reveal in December, this first gameplay trailer shows Davy’s stolen monster abilities, body upgrades, and power-up state much more directly.
