This week's Nintendo Download, March 19, 2026, keeps things simple. A couple of big additions lead the way, and everything else fills in around that.
MLB The Show 26 is finally here on Nintendo Switch, and Deadzone: Rogue brings something very different over to Nintendo Switch 2. On top of that, there's a GameCube classic making its way to Nintendo Switch Online exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2, plus a pretty packed list of new eShop additions.
You'll probably pick one thing and stick with it this week. Honestly, that works out pretty well.

MLB The Show 26
MLB The Show 26 is available now on Nintendo Switch. This year builds on what the series already does well, with updates to Road to The Show, deeper Franchise options, and more ways to customise your experience.
The big addition is the officially licensed Men's NCAA College World Series. You can start as a high school prospect, work your way through college, and push toward the majors. If you've played past entries, you already know the feel. If you want a closer look at how this version holds up, check out our full MLB The Show 26 review.
Deadzone: Rogue
Deadzone: Rogue is available now on Nintendo Switch 2, and it goes in a completely different direction. This is a fast-paced roguelike first-person shooter set inside a space station that does not want you to survive.
Every run throws something new at you. Things fall apart fast. The layout shifts, enemies change, and you're constantly picking up and combining weapons to stay alive. Over 30 weapons are in the mix, each one modifiable with elemental upgrades — fire, ice, shock, and more — so no two runs play out the same way.
You can go solo or jump in online with up to three friends, which changes how it plays right away. It also supports Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, which makes aiming feel much closer to a PC setup. If you're into run-based shooters where things can go wrong quickly, this one is worth your time.
Nintendo Classics
Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness is now available through Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack on Nintendo Switch 2. This is a GameCube Nintendo Classics title, which means you need a Nintendo Switch 2 and an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership to access it.
The game originally released on Nintendo GameCube back in 2005, and it has a different feel compared to the mainline games. You're dealing with Shadow Pokémon that need to be captured and purified, and the story leans more into stopping a larger threat. An evil organisation called Cipher is behind it all, with the powerful Shadow Lugia at the centre of everything. Eevee is your starting partner, and you build your team while working through the campaign. If you missed it back then, this is an easy way to finally check it out.
Digital Spotlight
Spring is right around the corner, and this week's spotlight leans toward games you can take at your own pace.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is the easy first recommendation if you want something to get lost in. You're building up your island however you like, and there's no real pressure to do it any particular way. If you're thinking about jumping in or coming back after some time away, we have a full breakdown of the latest update and Nintendo Switch 2 version that covers what's new and what's worth revisiting.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is running its Springtime Celebration right now, so there's new seasonal content to work through if you're already playing. And if farming is more your thing, Stardew Valley: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition are both solid ways to pass the time. Grand Bazaar in particular has a marketplace loop that gives you a reason to keep coming back each in-game week.
Different styles, same idea. Pick one and just go at it.
Activities
The final week of the My Nintendo Mario Kart World Open Series is live now. This time it's Knockout Tour, so expect longer runs and a bit more pressure to stay in it.
If you're jumping in, you can share your best moments using #MAR10Day. It's always fun seeing how people play these events.
Nintendo Music
The Super Metroid soundtrack is now available on Nintendo Music. If you've played it, you know the atmosphere — low and tense, with tracks like Brinstar and Maridia that stay with you long after you've put the controller down. It's one of the all-time great game soundtracks and worth adding to your library on its own.
There's also a Vocal Tracks playlist up now, with songs like "Piranha Plants on Parade" and "Calamari Inkantation." A completely different vibe depending on what you're looking for.
