| LEGO Mario Kart Luigi & Mach 8 set revealed for MAR10 Day 2026. |
By Jon Scarr
LEGO has now paid off weeks of teasing around its next big Mario Kart collector set, officially revealing the LEGO Mario Kart Luigi & Mach 8 build for MAR10 Day.
The new 18+ set gives Luigi his own large-scale display model, with 2,234 pieces, a drifting stand, working wheel movement, and an April 1 launch date in Canada at $249.99 CAD.
Luigi Gets His Own Premium Mario Kart Build
This time, Luigi isn’t just part of a wider Super Mario push. He gets a full 18+ set built around the Mach 8, with LEGO calling it the first-ever large-scale brick recreation of that kart. Luigi is seated behind the wheel, and the figure includes a posable head, arms, and hands, which gives the finished build more personality once you’ve got it on display.
That also gives this set a different draw than the usual Mario-first collector release. Mario usually gets the bigger Nintendo display pieces, so giving Luigi his own Mario Kart build makes this one easier to notice right away, especially if you’ve always had a soft spot for him over Mario.
A Display Build That Still Has Some Movement
The Mach 8 does more than sit on a stand. LEGO says you can angle the kart into a drifting pose, remove it from the stand, roll it forward, turn the steering wheel to move the front wheels, and spin the flame exhaust by turning the back wheels. That gives the set a little more life than a shelf piece you build once and never touch again.
What makes this reveal more interesting on MAR10 Day is that LEGO isn’t treating Mario Kart as a single premium release built around Mario alone. Mario already got a larger display build, and now Luigi does too. That makes this side of the line look more established and makes it easier to picture LEGO doing more with other racers later.
This also ties back to LEGO’s earlier Mario Kart collector push. The company pairs Luigi & Mach 8 with the Mario & Standard Kart build, which gives fans a way to put Mario and Luigi side by side. It also builds on the wider MAR10 Day LEGO wave we covered in our earlier story on LEGO Super Mario and Game Boy sets for MAR10 Day 2026.

Luigi Hits The Starting Line On April 1
For Nintendo fans who were hoping LEGO would keep going with Mario Kart after the first premium kart build, this gives Luigi a proper turn of his own.
