| The Genshin Impact Limited Edition DualSense controller shows off its white, gold, and deep blue design in a clean front view. |
By Jon Scarr
PlayStation Canada sent me the new Genshin Impact Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controller, and this is one of those controllers that grabs your attention the second you take it out of the box. I’ve collected a lot of PlayStation controllers over the years, and as a big Genshin Impact fan, this one immediately caught my eye for how much detail PlayStation and HoYoverse worked into the design.
A lot of special edition controllers stick to a new colour and a logo, but this one goes much further than that. From the white, gold, and green colour palette to the fantasy-style markings across the shell, this controller has a much more decorative look than most limited DualSense releases. If you’re into Genshin Impact, or you just like collecting unique PlayStation hardware, this is the kind of controller that earns a place on your shelf right away.
A Gorgeous Fantasy-Inspired Colour Palette
The first thing that hit me after unboxing it was the colour scheme. The mix of white, gold, and green gives the controller a clean but ornate look that feels very different from the standard DualSense lineup. It has a lighter, more elegant look, but there’s still enough contrast in the detailing to make the design pop in your hands.
What I like most is that it doesn’t look thrown together. The colours work naturally with the fantasy theme, and the overall finish gives it more personality than a simple branded accessory. This isn’t just a standard controller with Genshin Impact printed on it. It looks like a proper themed piece.

Aether, Lumine, And Paimon Bring It Together
The biggest draw here for Genshin Impact fans is the character-inspired artwork. The controller features emblems tied to Traveler twins Aether and Lumine, along with Paimon, and that gives it a much stronger identity than a generic crossover release.
That detail matters. These are characters that have been part of the game’s journey from the beginning, so the design has a direct connection to the world people already know. It gives the controller more meaning for fans and collectors, because it doesn’t just borrow the name of the game. It reflects some of the most recognizable parts of it.

The Arcane Details Sell The Look
Beyond the colours and character references, the extra glyph work across the controller is what really sells the design for me. Those fantasy-style markings give it a more ornate, almost ceremonial look that fits Genshin Impact much better than a simpler layout would have.
That’s the part that makes this controller special once you’re holding it. The standard DualSense shape is familiar, but the added details make it look like a much more premium themed release. It has collector appeal right away, and it’s easy to picture this being one of the more memorable limited DualSense variants PlayStation has put out.

It Still Has Everything I Like About The DualSense Controller
Outside the custom shell, this is still the same DualSense controller, which means you’re getting all the features that already make it one of my favourite modern controllers. You still have haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, the built-in microphone, the 3.5mm headset jack, motion controls, and USB-C charging.
That matters because this isn’t just something that looks good in the box. It’s also a great controller to actually use. If you want to keep it as part of a collection, it works for that. If you want to put it into regular use on PS5, it still gives you the same solid DualSense experience.
A Strong Pick For PlayStation And Genshin Impact Collectors
The Genshin Impact Limited Edition DualSense Wireless Controller is one of the more detailed themed controllers I’ve seen from PlayStation in a while. The colour palette looks great, the character references are meaningful, and the extra fantasy-inspired markings give it much more personality than a standard recolour.
As someone who loves collecting unique PlayStation hardware, this is the kind of release I appreciate right away. It looks great out of the box, it fits the world it comes from, and it has the kind of visual identity that makes it easy to remember.
Big thanks to PlayStation Canada for sending this over.
