A first-look trailer for You, Me & Tuscany offers an early glimpse at the romantic comedy ahead of its theatrical release on April 10. Set against the backdrop of Tuscany, the preview introduces the story’s central setup and the characters who find themselves caught up in it.
The film centres on Anna, played by Halle Bailey, a young woman who has drifted away from her original dream of becoming a chef and is now trying to figure out what comes next. A chance encounter leads her to Italy, where a temporary escape turns into something far more complicated.
A First Look at the Film’s Setup
The first look outlines the situation that drives the story. After losing both her house-sitting job and a place to stay, Anna travels to Tuscany and ends up spending the night at an empty villa owned by Matteo, an Italian man she has just met. That plan quickly unravels when Matteo’s mother, Gabriella, arrives unexpectedly.
In the moment, Anna lets Gabriella believe she is Matteo’s fiancée. What starts as a small lie becomes harder to manage when Matteo’s cousin Michael, played by Regé-Jean Page, enters the picture, adding another layer to an already awkward situation.
A Cast Built Around Character Chemistry
Alongside Bailey and Page, the film features Lorenzo de Moor as Matteo, Isabella Ferrari as Gabriella, and Aziza Scott as Anna’s close friend Claire. The supporting cast also includes Marco Calvani and Nia Vardalos.
The first look focuses heavily on character interactions rather than plot twists, giving a sense of how the relationships at the centre of the film are meant to develop once the initial setup is in place.
The Creative Team Behind the Film
You, Me & Tuscany is directed by Kat Coiro, with a screenplay by Ryan Engle based on an original idea by Ryan Engle and Kristin Engle. The film is produced by Will Packer and Johanna Byer under Will Packer Productions.
The project brings together an international cast and crew, with much of the appeal coming from the contrast between its relaxed setting and the complications created by its central misunderstanding.
You, Me & Tuscany is set to release exclusively in theatres on April 10.
