| Amazon Luna running on Rogers Xfinity, bringing cloud gaming directly to the TV. |
By Jon Scarr
Amazon Luna is now available to millions more Canadians through Rogers Xfinity, expanding cloud gaming access nationwide following an initial rollout that began late last year. Rogers confirmed today that Luna is now live for all Xfinity customers.
The expansion completes the broader rollout Rogers had been building toward, placing cloud gaming alongside live TV, sports, on-demand content, and streaming apps already available through the Xfinity interface.
This follows Amazon Luna’s debut on select Xfinity devices in December, when Rogers first introduced cloud gaming to its platform in Canada. At the time, the rollout was positioned as an early phase. Today’s announcement confirms that the service is now available across the full Rogers Xfinity customer base.
Cloud Gaming Becomes a Standard Xfinity Feature
If you’re using Rogers Xfinity, you can access Amazon Luna directly from your TV using supported Xfinity entertainment hardware. No console is required, and games start streaming once you sign in with your Amazon account.
You can launch Luna by saying “Luna” into the Rogers Xfinity voice remote, letting you jump from what you’re watching straight into a game without swapping devices or digging through apps.
The service supports major Bluetooth-enabled controllers, including the Amazon Luna Controller, and also supports smartphone-based control for select party-focused games.
Subscription Options and Game Access
Rogers Xfinity customers with an Amazon Prime membership, Ubisoft+ subscription, or Luna Premium subscription can access a growing library of cloud-based games. The lineup includes Fortnite, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, alongside living-room friendly picks like Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg, Clue, and Angry Birds.
Prime members get access to a rotating selection of games at no additional cost, while Luna Premium and Ubisoft+ expand the available catalog. Everything streams to your TV, with no local installs or storage requirements.
Amazon Luna Rollout on Rogers Xfinity Is Now Complete
When Luna arrived on Rogers Xfinity late last year, access was limited to select devices while the rollout expanded. Today’s update confirms that cloud gaming is now part of the standard Xfinity setup across Canada.
For Rogers, that means keeping TV, streaming, and games in one place. For you, it means jumping into a game on the same screen you already use, without needing anything extra.
