Honkai: Star Rail is teaming up with Fortnite, bringing two of its most recognizable characters into Epic’s battle royale later this month. Starting February 26, Kafka and Blade from HoYoverse’s space RPG will appear in Fortnite as part of a limited collaboration.

This is a full crossover rather than a small cosmetic nod. The characters are being added as playable outfits, complete with themed gear and LEGO Fortnite support, making them usable across multiple Fortnite experiences.

Kafka and Blade Join the Fortnite Roster

The crossover introduces Kafka and Blade, both members of the Stellaron Hunters in Honkai: Star Rail. In Fortnite, they arrive as full outfits with matching back bling, pickaxes, and alternate styles designed to fit Fortnite’s visual style.

Both characters will also be compatible with LEGO Fortnite, continuing Epic’s push to make crossover skins usable across different game modes instead of locking them to battle royale only.

This marks one of Honkai: Star Rail’s biggest appearances outside its own ecosystem so far, placing the series alongside Fortnite’s growing list of anime and game crossovers.

Getting Kafka and Blade in Fortnite

Kafka and Blade will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop starting February 26. In addition, Epic Games confirmed that players who download and log into Honkai: Star Rail through the Epic Games Store will be able to unlock Blade as a special reward. Full details on timing and eligibility are expected closer to launch.

Epic is also rolling out a themed Fortnite Creative island tied to the collaboration, along with a creator-focused tournament built around the crossover.

A Natural Fit for Fortnite’s Crossover Lineup

Fortnite has become one of the biggest places where game franchises meet new audiences, and this collaboration fits that pattern. Honkai: Star Rail already has a massive global following, while Fortnite offers a way to put those characters in front of players who may not touch gacha RPGs at all.

For Fortnite players, it’s another high-profile crossover with distinctive character designs. For Honkai: Star Rail, it’s a way to step beyond mobile and PC spaces and show up on one of the most visible platforms in gaming.

The crossover launches February 26, with Kafka and Blade joining Fortnite’s lineup shortly after Honkai: Star Rail’s own Version 4.0 update later this month.
