At CES 2026, Sony revealed new PlayStation-focused features coming to its Afeela electric vehicle, including themed experiences based on Astro Bot and Gran Turismo.

The announcement builds on Sony Honda Mobility’s push to position Afeela as a connected entertainment platform, not just a car. Alongside the themed visuals, Sony also confirmed that PlayStation Remote Play support is coming to Afeela, allowing games to be streamed from a PlayStation console.

PlayStation Themes Coming to Afeela

Sony confirmed that Afeela vehicles will support themed experiences tied to PlayStation franchises. These include Astro Bot and Gran Turismo themes, featuring custom wallpapers and unique e-motor sounds designed around each property.

Additional wallpapers based on other PlayStation titles are also planned, though Sony has not yet shared a full list. The focus here seems to be giving drivers a more personal, PlayStation-inspired interface inside the vehicle.

While these themes are primarily cosmetic, they still show how Sony is looking to extend its gaming brands into places you would not normally expect.

PlayStation Remote Play Support Confirmed

Sony Honda Mobility also confirmed that PlayStation Remote Play will be supported in Afeela vehicles. Using a DualSense controller and a stable network connection, you will be able to stream games from your PlayStation console directly to the car’s display.

As with existing Remote Play setups, how well it runs will depend heavily on network conditions.

Gaming Keeps Showing Up in New Places

The Afeela news fits into a broader trend where gaming features keep expanding beyond traditional consoles and PCs. Between smart TVs, handhelds, cloud services, and now vehicles, major platform holders are finding new ways to extend where games can be played.

Sony has not provided a timeline for when the Astro Bot and Gran Turismo themes or Remote Play support will be available in Afeela vehicles. More details are expected closer to the car’s wider rollout.

For now, CES 2026 offered a clearer look at how Sony plans to bring PlayStation deeper into everyday spaces, including the driver’s seat.
