Hot on the heals of the November 26th Grasshopper Direct, a brand new story introduction trailer for Romeo Is a Dead Man has been released, giving a closer look at the game’s ultra-violent science fiction setting and the action-driven narrative players can expect when it launches next month.

The upcoming game comes from Grasshopper Manufacture and is led by creative director SUDA51, continuing the studio’s reputation for stylish, over-the-top action and surreal storytelling.

Meet Romeo Stargazer, Space-Time Police Agent

The new trailer focuses on the game’s central premise and protagonist. You play as Romeo Stargazer, an FBI Space-Time Police special agent tasked with hunting down the universe’s most dangerous criminals across time and space.

The footage leans heavily into fast-paced combat, exaggerated violence, and bold sci-fi visuals, while also teasing the story threads that drive Romeo’s pursuit. It’s a tone that feels unapologetically aggressive and deliberately strange, very much in line with Grasshopper Manufacture’s past work.

Ultra-Violent Action Across Time and Space

While the trailer is framed as a story introduction, it also offers a solid look at the game’s moment-to-moment action. Combat appears frantic and stylish, mixing melee attacks, gunplay, and surreal sci-fi elements as Romeo moves between different locations and timelines.

The presentation makes it clear that Romeo Is a Dead Man isn’t aiming for subtlety. Instead, it doubles down on spectacle, exaggerated violence, and a larger-than-life approach to both its characters and its world.

Launch Platforms and Release Date

Romeo Is a Dead Man is scheduled to launch on February 11, 2026. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
