This week’s Nintendo Download includes a couple of bigger releases, along with the usual mix of updates, sales, and smaller additions. Between a major RPG landing on Nintendo Switch 2, a new Dynasty Warriors entry, and a substantial Mario Kart World update, there’s plenty here depending on how you like to spend your time.

Here’s everything included in this week’s Nintendo Download.

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 this week, bringing the reimagined opening chapter of Cloud’s story to the platform. The release includes the main game up through the escape from Midgar, along with the EPISODE INTERmission side story starring Yuffie.

Combat blends real-time action with tactical commands, and the story focuses on expanding the original’s characters and setting while keeping its core moments intact. If you want a closer look at how it plays on Nintendo Switch 2, you can check out our full review.

DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS

DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS also launches this week on Nintendo Switch 2. This entry puts you in the role of a new protagonist during the Three Kingdoms era, with larger battles and more aggressive enemy forces than previous games.

Your choices influence how events unfold, and the combat leans into the series’ trademark large-scale encounters. A paid DLC release is also available alongside the launch for those looking to expand the experience.

Updates

Mario Kart World Version 1.5.0

A new update is now live for Mario Kart World on Nintendo Switch 2. Version 1.5.0 introduces team-based racing to Knockout Tour, allowing up to four teams to compete in both local wireless and online play.

Knockout Tour still keeps its elimination-style structure, but the addition of teams changes how races play out, especially in longer sessions. It’s a nice option for players who prefer working together instead of racing solo.

Pre-orders

Dispatch – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

Dispatch is now available for pre-order on Nintendo Switch 2 ahead of its January 28 release. The game comes from the creative team behind Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, and takes a different angle on superhero stories.

You play as a former hero forced into a desk job at a superhero dispatch center, managing a team of reformed villains while dealing with workplace drama and rebuilding your suit. It leans more toward narrative and decision-making than action.

Nintendo Music Updates

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass soundtrack is now available on Nintendo Music. Tracks like “The Pirate Ship,” “Linebeck’s Theme,” and “Boss Battle at Sea” have been added, giving fans another reason to revisit the series’ ocean-going chapter.

Nintendo eShop Sale

The Supercharge Sale is still running on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Discounts remain available on a wide range of games and DLC until January 25 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
