Nex Playground is using CES 2026 to outline where its active play platform is headed next, offering attendees an early look at its 2026 roadmap alongside new features and content in development.
The company confirmed that Nex Playground sold more than 650,000 units during 2025, following a strong holiday season that helped push the system into more living rooms across North America. That momentum is now shaping Nex’s plans for international expansion, new sports-focused experiences, and updated ways for families to play together.
International Expansion Begins in 2026
After rolling out in Canada in 2025, Nex plans to expand into additional markets in 2026. The company says the United Kingdom will be the first European market to receive Nex Playground, with availability expected later this spring.
This move marks the beginning of a broader international push, as Nex looks to bring its motion-based, family-focused play system to more households worldwide.
Sports Experiences Become a Bigger Focus
Sports-based games are set to play a larger role in Nex Playground’s content lineup going forward. One of the headline projects shown at CES 2026 is a new title developed in partnership with Dude Perfect, scheduled to launch in summer 2026. The game is designed to translate the group’s trick-shot style into motion-driven gameplay.
This builds on existing sports content like NHL Puck Rush and signals the start of a broader sports portfolio. Nex also confirmed that additional titles are in development with professional sports leagues, including the NBA, as part of its 2026 plans.
Alongside new games, the company is working on accessories intended to support more immersive sports play and help younger players develop fundamental skills that carry over beyond the screen.
Play Pass Expands With New Games and IP
Nex is also continuing to expand its Play Pass subscription with new content throughout 2026. Early in the year, the service will add a new game set in the world of Tiny Chef, targeting younger players and families.
Other updates include continued support for Starri, Nex’s music-rhythm experience, with additional artists and songs planned over time. These additions build on existing Play Pass titles such as Bluey: Bust-a-Move, NexPets: Puppies, Zumba Fitness Party, and Bowling Strike.
An Early Look at Connected Playdates
One of the more forward-looking features shown at CES 2026 is an early preview of Nex’s upcoming connected playdate system. The feature is designed to allow families to link two Nex Playground devices together for remote play, with an emphasis on safety and parental control.
According to Nex, parents will be responsible for establishing trusted, family-to-family connections, with safeguards in place to limit personal information sharing. The feature is still in development, but attendees can try a hands-on demonstration using Tennis Smash: Racketville during the show.
Nex Playground at CES 2026
Nex Playground is offering hands-on previews at CES 2026, with open hours scheduled for Thursday, January 8, from 12–6 p.m. PT at The Venetian. The booth is located in the Lido 3003 meeting room.
While several elements shown at CES are still early looks rather than finalized launches, the showcase gives a clearer picture of how Nex plans to grow its platform through 2026, balancing new content, global expansion, and connected play features.
