Marathon Launches March 5 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC

Bungie has confirmed that Marathon will launch on March 5, 2026, marking the first new entry in the studio’s sci-fi series. The upcoming title will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with full cross-play and cross-save support available across all platforms.

Alongside the release date, Bungie also shared a new Marathon gameplay trailer, confirmed the game’s English voice cast, and outlined details on pre-orders, special editions, and launch-day bonuses.

Inside Marathon

Marathon is a survival extraction shooter set on the lost colony of Tau Ceti IV, where players step into the role of cybernetic Runners sent in to recover what remains of the planet. Each run centres on exploration, combat, and risk, with hostile security systems, rival Runners, and environmental threats shaping every encounter.

The newly released trailer shows encounters with enemy forces, movement across dangerous terrain, and the high-stakes nature of each run.

Voice Cast Revealed

Bungie also confirmed the English-language voice cast for Marathon, which includes a wide range of familiar names from games, television, and film.

The cast includes:

Krizia Bajos, Samantha Béart, Beau Bridgland, Ry Chase, Roger Clark, Darin De Paul, Jennifer English, Dave Fennoy, Nika Futterman, Morla Gorrondona, Reina Guthrie, Donnla Hughes, Keston John, Sohm Kapila, Rich Keeble, Elliot Knight, Erica Lindbeck, Piotr Michael, Brent Mukai, Neil Newbon, Ariana Nicole George, Emily O'Brien, Lee Shorten, Jason Spisak, Ben Starr, JB Tadena, Fred Tatasciore, Craig Lee Thomas, Elias Toufexis, Oliver Vaquer, Scott Whyte, Tracy Wiles, and Erin Yvette.

Bungie also confirmed that Marathon will feature fully localized dialogue across all supported languages, with additional voice talent to be introduced as the game expands.

Marathon is available to pre-order now in Standard, Deluxe and Collector's editions.

Marathon Deluxe Edition

Marathon Collector’s Edition

Bungie has also revealed a Collector’s Edition for Marathon, aimed at fans looking for physical collectibles alongside the game.

The Collector’s Edition includes:

  • A 1/6th scale Thief Runner shell statue with LED lighting
  • A collectible WEAVEworm miniature
  • An embroidered iron-on patch
  • A set of art postcards
  • Premium display packaging featuring environmental artwork

The Collector’s Edition also includes in-game cosmetic bonuses when purchased through the Bungie Store or PlayStation Direct.

Launch Details and Limited Edition Hardware

Alongside Marathon’s release, Bungie is offering a selection of in-game rewards and limited edition hardware tied to the launch. Players will be able to earn Destiny 2 crossover items, including the Modern MIDA Multi-Tool Exotic ornament, the Silkworm Weave legendary shader, and the Waiting For Exfil Exotic multiplayer emote.

Bungie also revealed two pieces of themed PlayStation hardware inspired by Marathon’s visual style. A limited edition DualSense controller will be available in select regions starting January 29, 2026, priced at $84.99 USD, and will launch alongside the game on March 5. A Marathon-themed Pulse Elite wireless headset will also be available in limited quantities through PlayStation Direct in the U.S., priced at $169.99 USD.
