At CES 2026, LG Electronics and Razer announced a new gaming controller partnership alongside the launch of LG’s Designed for LG Gaming Portal certification program. The first controller to carry that certification is the newly revealed Razer Wolverine V3 Bluetooth, built specifically for use with LG smart TVs running webOS.

The announcement positions the Wolverine V3 Bluetooth as the first controller officially certified for LG’s Gaming Portal and highlights it as a controller designed to reduce wireless input latency when playing games directly on LG TVs.

Razer Wolverine V3 Bluetooth for LG Smart TVs

The Wolverine V3 Bluetooth is being introduced as a TV-focused controller rather than a traditional console or PC gamepad. According to LG and Razer, the controller uses ultra-low latency Bluetooth with a reported response time of under three milliseconds when paired with supported LG webOS TVs.

In addition to wireless performance, the controller includes integrated TV controls and pro-level features aimed at cloud gaming and streaming-based play. The goal is to make the controller feel native to the TV experience instead of a standard Bluetooth accessory.

LG and Razer describe the Wolverine V3 Bluetooth as their fastest gaming controller so far, with a focus on responsiveness during fast-paced games.

What “Designed for LG Gaming Portal” Means

Alongside the controller reveal, LG officially introduced its Designed for LG Gaming Portal certification program. The program is intended to ensure that gaming accessories, starting with controllers, meet specific standards for latency, connectivity, and compatibility with LG’s Gaming Portal interface.

Rather than simply supporting any generic Bluetooth controller, the certification program allows LG to highlight devices that are tested and optimized for gaming directly on LG smart TVs. The Wolverine V3 Bluetooth is the first controller to receive that certification.

LG has not yet shared how many additional controllers or accessories will be certified under the program.

LG’s Growing Focus on TV-Based Gaming

The certification program builds on LG’s recent push into gaming features on its TVs. LG notes that select 2025 OLED models were among the first TVs to support 4K 120Hz HDR cloud gaming through GeForce NOW, positioning LG TVs as gaming platforms rather than just displays.

With the addition of a controller certification program, LG appears to be extending that focus beyond screens to include input devices and overall gameplay experience.

More details about future certified controllers and Gaming Portal updates are expected following CES 2026.
