Cineplex is bringing back its $5 Tuesdays promotion for a limited time this winter, giving moviegoers a cheaper way to catch new releases during the slower months of the year.
The promotion runs from January 20 through February 24, 2026, and includes $5 general admission tickets along with $5 small popcorn at participating theatres across Canada.
Tickets can be purchased either in person or online. Online purchases are priced up to $6.50 per ticket, which includes a booking fee of up to $1.50. The offer applies to tickets purchased on or after January 14.
It feels less like a special event and more like a weekly discount that makes midweek movie nights easier to justify. It’s an easy way to catch a movie without paying full price, especially if you usually go during the week.
Cineplex is also offering upgrades to premium formats like UltraAVX and VIP, with an added surcharge depending on the location and format.
Scene+ members can save a bit more through:
- 10 per cent off Tuesday tickets
- Lower online booking fees
- Points earned on purchases, which can be redeemed for tickets or concessions
The $5 Tuesdays promotion runs for six weeks, giving moviegoers multiple chances to take advantage of the pricing during the winter stretch.
