The results are in. Valve has announced the winners of the 2025 Steam Awards, following community voting during the Steam Winter Sale. This year’s awards drew 43.8 million votes across all categories, making it one of the largest community-driven snapshots of how Steam players engaged with games over the past year.

Unlike The Game Awards, the Steam Awards are decided entirely by player nominations and votes, making them a reflection of what Steam players actually connected with over the past year.

Once voting closes, each winning game receives a Steam Awards trophy on its store page, locking the results in as part of Steam’s yearly snapshot. Below is the full list of winners and finalists across every category.

A Snapshot of How the Steam Community Voted

This year’s Steam Awards lineup feels exactly like what you’d expect from a community vote. The big names show up where you’d expect them to, long-running games get a nod for sticking around, and a few choices feel very Steam in a way that wouldn’t happen elsewhere.

Seeing games like Hollow Knight: Silksong pop up across multiple categories makes sense given how much anticipation and discussion surrounded it, while categories like Labor of Love and Sit Back and Relax highlight how much players still value comfort games and ongoing support.
