Circana’s latest engagement snapshot, from Mat Piscatella, shows what people were actually playing for the week ending December 6, 2025. The numbers reflect total weekly active users rather than concurrent peaks, and they cover PlayStation and Xbox activity in the United States along with Steam engagement in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
If you missed last week’s snapshot, you can catch up here: What Gamers Played This Week – Week Ending Nov 29, 2025.
The top of the charts looks familiar again, but there are a few shifts once you get past the obvious mainstays. Fortnite is still the console anchor. ARC Raiders continues to show up everywhere, including on Xbox. On Steam, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide pushes back into view, and Elden Ring: Nightreign returns to the Steam top 10 following The Forsaken Hollows release.
I jump between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and honestly, these lists felt pretty on point. They matched what I kept seeing pop up from friends over the weekend.

Most of the console top ten is unchanged this week, but there are a couple of small moves worth calling out. On PlayStation, Marvel Rivals moves up one spot, while Minecraft slides down one. On Xbox, the entire top ten stays exactly the same as last week, which is rare for a weekly snapshot like this. Just outside the top ten, Xbox also shows a new entry in the top 15 with Marvel Cosmic Invasion debuting at number 11.
One extra note from the broader list: Red Dead Redemption makes a huge jump into the PlayStation top 10 after its upgrade push and PS Plus addition. That is the kind of “where did that come from” movement these charts are great at catching.
Steam US Snapshot: ARC Raiders Holds, Darktide Returns
Top 10 Games on Steam US
- ARC Raiders
- Battlefield 6
- Counter-Strike 2
- Helldivers II
- Marvel Rivals
- Where Winds Meet
- Rocket League
- Risk of Rain 2
- Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
- Destiny 2
Steam US keeps the same top three as last week, with ARC Raiders, Battlefield 6, and Counter-Strike 2 holding their spots. The bigger movement happens just below that. Helldivers II climbs up into fourth after sitting lower last week, while Where Winds Meet drops a couple of places into sixth.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is the big return story in the US list, jumping back into the top ten after being much further down the week before. Destiny 2 also pushes back into the top 10, which lines up with how quickly a big update or renewed chatter can move a game up the Steam rankings.
Steam Canada Snapshot: Counter-Strike 2 Takes First
Top 10 Games on Steam Canada
- Counter-Strike 2
- ARC Raiders
- Battlefield 6
- Helldivers II
- Where Winds Meet
- Dota 2
- Marvel Rivals
- Rocket League
- Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
- Risk of Rain 2
Canada flips the top spot this week. Counter-Strike 2 moves up into first, while ARC Raiders drops to second. Battlefield 6 holds at third again, keeping that consistent Steam presence across regions.
Helldivers II makes a noticeable climb here too, jumping up into fourth after sitting lower last week. Darktide also returns in a big way, landing ninth after being far down the chart the previous week. Risk of Rain 2 slips down a few spots, but it still hangs on in the top ten.
Steam Mexico Snapshot: Battlefield 6 Still Leads, Marvel Rivals Climbs
Top 10 Games on Steam Mexico
- Battlefield 6
- Counter-Strike 2
- Marvel Rivals
- ARC Raiders
- Helldivers II
- Peak
- R.E.P.O.
- Overwatch 2
- Dead by Daylight
- Left 4 Dead 2
Mexico keeps Battlefield 6 in first again, with Counter-Strike 2 holding second. The biggest change near the top is Marvel Rivals moving up into third, while ARC Raiders drops one spot to fourth.
Helldivers II makes another jump here, climbing into fifth after sitting lower last week. Overwatch 2 also moves up into the top ten after being just outside it before, while Left 4 Dead 2 climbs into tenth. Mexico continues to be the list that shifts the most week to week, and it keeps mixing newer hits with games that never fully leave the conversation.
The Big Picture This Week
Across platforms, the main pattern still holds. Fortnite and Call of Duty keep leading console time, while ARC Raiders continues to show up as a major cross-platform presence, including another week inside the Xbox top ten. GTA V (Remastered) staying near the top on both consoles still feels like one of the strangest “normal” things in gaming right now.
On Steam, the most noticeable movement comes from a few big jumps rather than a full shuffle at the top. Helldivers II climbs in all three regions. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide surges back into the top ten in both the US and Canada.
I always find these snapshots fun to compare against my own week, especially when a game makes a sudden return. Were you surprised by any of these moves? What have you been playing over the past few days? It will be interesting to see what shifts again in next week’s report.
