Universal Pictures released a new featurette titled “A First Look” for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, giving fans a fresh peek at the upcoming sequel before it arrives in theaters on December 5.
The featurette offers a quick look at the cast, the returning director Emma Tammi, and the darker story waiting in the new chapter. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 picks up more than a year after the events at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, where the town has turned the tragedy into a local legend known as Fazfest.
Mike, Vanessa, and Abby all return, along with fan-favorite William Afton. The sequel also introduces new characters played by Freddy Carter, Wayne Knight, Mckenna Grace, and Skeet Ulrich.
The story follows Abby as she tries to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. Her search sets off a new chain of events, uncovering hidden secrets tied to the origins of Freddy’s and a threat that has been buried for decades.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is directed by Emma Tammi, written by Scott Cawthon, and produced by Jason Blum and Cawthon. The first film became the highest-grossing horror movie of 2023 and earned almost $300 million worldwide, so expectations for the sequel are high.
