Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5 launches August 26, 2026, with a new trip to Astropolis and two limited 5-star characters. HoYoverse also confirmed that a Zenless Zone Zero collaboration is coming later this year.
Called To Roll the Stars in Astropolis, Version 4.5 follows the Express Crew's victory over Lord Ravager Asat Pramad. The Voracity has now appeared, pushing Planarcadia into another crisis and sending the Trailblazer to Astropolis in search of help.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5 Heads To Astropolis
Astropolis is tied closely to the Interastral Peace Corporation and becomes the next major stop in the story. Alongside the new crisis, the Trailblazer also gets some time away with Robin and Aventurine during an interstellar vacation.
I like that Astropolis isn't only another crisis for the Trailblazer. Robin and Aventurine also get some time away during the summer getaway.
Robin Summeretto And Aventurine Waveflair Join The Roster
Robin • Summeretto arrives as a limited 5-star Wind character on the Path of Remembrance. She can build Vibes as teammates act, then use them to push the team into Fever Pitch and strengthen attacks. Her Ultimate can make a chosen teammate act immediately and regenerate Energy.
Robin • Summeretto appears during the first half of Version 4.5 alongside a Hyacine rerun. Her new song, Only by Chasing the Wind, will also debut during the Astropolis story.
Aventurine • Waveflair follows in the second half beginning September 12. He's a limited 5-star Quantum character on the Path of Elation who attacks with beach volleyball and surfing moves. His abilities build Punchline and Fervor, which can trigger additional Elation attacks. Ashveil also returns during the second half.
Version 4.5 Adds New Events And Faster Story Dialogue
Version 4.5 includes the racing event Overdrive: Whirlwind Grand Prix, where you'll take over as team principal. Minuscule Great Adventure adds another set of stages, while Divergent Universe also receives a gameplay update.
I can see the new dialogue speed option getting a lot of use. Starting with Version 4.5, you can turn it on or off at any point during story conversations.
Zenless Zone Zero Collaboration Is Coming Later This Year
HoYoverse is also bringing Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero together later in 2026. Characters from Zenless Zone Zero will join the Trailblaze for what HoYoverse describes as a cosmic adventure. No characters or exact launch date have been announced yet.
A separate collaboration with MOONDROP is also on the way. Sparxie-themed products and online and offline events are planned across multiple regions, with more information still to come.
Version 4.5 arrives August 26, followed by Aventurine • Waveflair on September 12. The Zenless Zone Zero collaboration is still planned for later this year, with more details to come.
