This week’s GFN Thursday brings together some of GeForce NOW’s biggest announcements from Gamescom 2026. Ultimate members are getting new DLSS 4.5 controls this fall, with more device and account support rolling out too.
Support for Steam Machine and Steam Controller is on the way. GOG single sign-on is available now, Firefox is officially supported, and Amazon Fire TV support is expanding.
Gamescom also brings five games confirmed for GeForce NOW at launch, including CONTROL Resonant and Gears of War: E-Day. Thirteen games are coming to the cloud this week too. Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 leads the weekly list after its August 25 Steam release, while the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta starts August 28.
GeForce NOW Ultimate Gets DLSS 4.5 Controls This Fall
This fall, GeForce NOW Ultimate will add controls for DLSS Super Resolution, Dynamic Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction in supported games. NVIDIA says the controls will let members adjust the balance between image quality and responsiveness. More guidance on DLSS 4.5 overrides is coming in future GFN Thursday updates.
Ultimate members will also be able to stream the five newly confirmed launch games with GeForce RTX 5080-class performance. Supported devices can reach up to 5K HDR. DLSS 4, ray tracing, NVIDIA Reflex and Cinematic Quality Streaming are also part of the Ultimate feature set.
GeForce NOW Expands Steam, GOG, Firefox and Fire TV Support
Support for Steam Machine and Steam Controller is coming later this fall. It builds on the Steam Deck support already available through GeForce NOW.
GOG single sign-on is available now. Link your account once, and supported GOG games can sync with GeForce NOW without requiring another GOG sign-in each time.
GeForce NOW now officially supports Firefox. Ultimate members using the browser can stream supported games at up to 1440p and 120 frames per second.
Amazon Fire TV support is expanding as well. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select is being added. NVIDIA says Fire TV users will be able to purchase GeForce NOW memberships directly through Amazon later this year.
Five Major Games Are Coming to GeForce NOW at Launch
NVIDIA confirmed five games for GeForce NOW from the day they launch:
- CONTROL Resonant
- Gears of War: E-Day
- Onimusha: Way of the Sword
- The Blood of Dawnwalker
- STAR WARS Zero Company
There’s also a limited-time CONTROL Resonant offer tied to the Ultimate tier. The offer runs from August 25 through September 27. A 12-month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership purchased during that window includes CONTROL Resonant at launch at no additional cost.

This week’s list includes new releases alongside another batch of games gaining GOG support. The listed release dates refer to the respective stores. GeForce NOW availability can vary as games are onboarded throughout the week.

Wrapping Up This Week on GeForce NOW
If you’re planning to check out the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta through GeForce NOW, the window is pretty short. It starts August 28 at 10 AM PDT and wraps up September 1 at 10 AM PDT.
The CONTROL Resonant offer gives Ultimate members a little more time, running through September 27 with the game included at launch when you purchase a 12-month Ultimate membership. NVIDIA is also celebrating Gamescom with a community giveaway featuring more than 40 prizes, including hardware and GeForce NOW Ultimate memberships.
