LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Deluxe Edition Early Access Content Roadmap

By Jon Scarr

Warner Bros. Games just showed off exactly what you're getting in the Deluxe Edition for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, including how to lock in 72-hour early access starting May 19, 2026.

Snagging a pre-order ahead of the global May 22, 2026 launch gets you a three-day head start in Gotham City alongside a massive pack of classic cosmetics. The package splits its content across two main release windows, giving you immediate access to classic gaming and television crossovers before a villain-centric expansion hits later in the year.

Once May 19, 2026 rolls around, you'll get immediate access to the Legacy Collection extras. This bundle packs three distinct themed add-ons that change up your characters, vehicles, and base headquarters. You don't have to wait around for the initial wave of extras because they're ready to go the second you start the campaign.

Diving into the actual day-one perks, the Arkham Trilogy Pack gives you seven character outfits, including Arkham Trilogy Batman, Arkham City Robin, Arkham Trilogy Nightwing, Arkham Trilogy Batgirl, Arkham Trilogy Jim Gordon, Arkham City Catwoman, and Arkham City Talia al Ghul. You'll also get the Batman: Arkham Trilogy Batmobile and five Batcave props like the Arkham Asylum Diorama, Arkham City Blueprints, Joker TV, Lady Gotham Statue, and the Riddler Trophy. It provides a direct injection of nostalgia for anyone who hunted collectibles for hours in the classic Rocksteady games.

Next up is the Batman Beyond Pack, which shifts focus to the beloved animated series. This portion adds seven character options including Batman Beyond, Batman Beyond Robin, Batman Beyond Nightwing, Batman Beyond Batgirl, Batman Beyond Jim Gordon, Batman Beyond Catwoman, and Curaré (Talia al Ghul). You can park the Batman Beyond Batmobile next to themed props like the G.L.M., Eggbaby Crib, Bat Armor, Bat-Hound Doghouse, and the Photo Op Board (Terrific Trio).

Rounding out the day-one content is the quirky Party Music Pack. This pack explicitly lists seven distinct character outfits: Party Music Batman, Party Music Robin, Party Music Nightwing, Party Music Batgirl, Party Music Jim Gordon, Party Music Catwoman, and Party Music Talia al Ghul. To finish the musical setup, you'll pick up the Monster Truck Batmobile and five themed props including a Dance Floor, Giant Skull, Metal Throne, Lava Lamp, and a Stage.

Classic super-villains shake up Gotham City later this fall

When September 2026 rolls around, the game shifts focus over to the bad guys with the Mayhem Collection. This post-launch bundle introduces a completely new Mayhem Mode, a dedicated variant format where you finally get to play as The Joker and Harley Quinn. They come equipped with their own distinct abilities, gadgets, and takedowns. You'll get a brand-new story mission centred entirely on their escape from Arkham Asylum as they look to cause absolute uproar on the streets of Gotham City.

Alongside the villain campaign, the September 2026 update unlocks the Sinister Pack to augment the main experience. This add-on provides seven new suits, offering one custom outfit for each of the original playable characters in the base roster. You'll also secure five additional Batcave props and an entirely new Batmobile option to help you navigate the open world.

Locking the biggest villain features behind a four-month structural delay might annoy anyone looking to cause immediate trouble as the Clown Prince of Crime, but it gives you a solid reason to dive back into the brick-building action down the road. It shows a clear strategy to keep the open world populated long after the initial spring launch rush clears out. You can check out the full breakdown of outfits, vehicles, and base props in the official promotional video down below.
