Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is out today on Nintendo eShop and the My Nintendo Store as a surprise drop. Nintendo announced the Nintendo Switch 2 version and released it on the same day
This version adds support for resolutions up to 4K with a target of up to 60 frames per second in TV mode. In handheld play on Nintendo Switch 2, it targets up to 1080p and up to 60 frames per second. If you already own Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on the original Nintendo Switch, there is also a separate upgrade pack so you can move up to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition without buying the full game again.
Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrades And Online Squads
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is really about cleaning up the image and making the game run smoother, not changing how it plays. On a 4K TV, it can hit up to 4K and up to 60 frames per second. In handheld on Nintendo Switch 2, it targets up to 1080p and up to 60 frames per second. The jump in resolution helps when you are watching the horizon, trying to spot enemies, or checking out Skells and terrain details before you charge in.Online options carry over too. You can join a squad of up to 31 people and chip away at shared goals, like tracking down set drops or hunting specific enemies. Up to four squad members can also group up for special online assignments and take on tougher targets together for in-game rewards. During the main story, you can pull in other people’s avatars and add their created characters to your own crew on Mira.
