Bandai Namco has officially pulled the curtain back on TEKKEN 8 Season 3, confirming the return of three familiar fighters during the TEKKEN WORLD TOUR FINALS 2025. Kunimitsu, Bob, and Roger Jr. are all set to join the roster as part of the new season, which begins in March 2026.
The announcement was made live from the finals event in Malmö, Sweden, where DRX | LowHigh also claimed the TEKKEN WORLD TOUR FINALS 2025 championship after a full weekend of high-level competition.
Season 3 Brings Balance Changes and a Rank Reset
Season 3 isn’t just about new characters. Bandai Namco confirmed that the update will introduce a new round of balance adjustments aimed at refining how TEKKEN 8 plays at both casual and competitive levels. Alongside those changes, a full rank reset is planned when the season goes live in March.
This kind of reset usually realigns the ranked ladder after major system changes, especially as the roster continues to expand and matchups evolve.
Kunimitsu Arrives First With the Season 3 Pass
The Season 3 Pass goes on sale on February 10, 2026, and it comes with access to all four planned Season 3 characters. Kunimitsu will be the first to release, currently scheduled for late spring 2026.
Buying the pass also includes:
- 120 hours of early access for each character
- A new stage, with details coming later
- The exclusive Aurora Outfit Pack costume set, available starting February 10
Bob and Roger Jr. are confirmed for the season, with the fourth character still unannounced.
TEKKEN World Tour 2026 Is Official
Bandai Namco also confirmed that the competitive circuit will continue with TEKKEN WORLD TOUR 2026, kicking off in May 2026 at EVO Japan. The season will wrap up with the final Master Event at Thaiger Uppercut 2026.
So far, the following events are locked in:
- Master+ events: EVO Japan, EVO Las Vegas, EVO Nice
- Master events: To be announced later in 2026
More details on formats, points, and additional stops are expected later this year.
A Familiar Direction for TEKKEN 8
Season 3 continues a familiar approach for TEKKEN 8, mixing legacy characters with system-level changes rather than treating new fighters as standalone additions. Bringing back Kunimitsu, Bob, and Roger Jr. signals a focus on variety, matchup knowledge, and long-term roster depth as the game moves deeper into its competitive lifespan.
With ranked play resetting, balance updates incoming, and the World Tour already mapped out, March is shaping up to be a meaningful reset point if you’re still grinding ranked or getting serious about matchups.
