A new trailer for Styx: Blades of Greed has has dropped, from Nacon, ahead of its February 19 release, offering a closer look at the story that will drive the next chapter in Cyanide Studio’s stealth series.

The trailer recaps key events from the previous two Styx games before shifting focus to Blades of Greed, which takes place shortly after the destruction of the Amber factory in the city of Korrangar. Styx departs the Dark Elf city aboard a zeppelin with a makeshift crew, setting his sights on Quartz, a volatile and highly sought-after resource at the centre of rising conflict.

A World Moving Toward War

Quartz has become the focal point of growing hostilities between humans, elves, and orcs, drawing the attention of the Inquisition, a human faction intent on wiping out other races. Relentlessly pursued, Styx must secure the resource before it falls into their hands, regardless of the consequences.

The game’s story carries you across the continent of Iserian, moving through large, interconnected environments rooted in medieval fantasy. Locations highlighted in the trailer include the floating ruins of Akenash, once tied to the World Tree, and The Wall, a heavily fortified stronghold of the Human Empire. The journey also reaches the Turquoise Dawn, a dense jungle shaped by ongoing conflict between humans and orcs.

Companions, Quests, and Player Choice

Throughout the adventure, Styx is joined by a group of outcasts including Helledryn, Djarak, and Wren. Completing their quests unlocks upgrades that expand Styx’s tools, abilities, and stealth options, opening up different approaches to infiltration and exploration.

Blades of Greed also lays narrative groundwork for the Great War and the rise of the Black Hand, the mercenary group that later plays a central role in Of Orcs and Men, the first game set in this universe.

Styx Continues to Build Around Stealth and Exploration

Developed by French studio Cyanide Studio and published by Nacon, Styx: Blades of Greed is the third entry in the series. The game continues to focus on stealth, vertical exploration, and giving you multiple ways to approach objectives.

New traversal tools such as a grappling hook and glider expand how environments can be navigated, while Styx’s abilities and powers return in expanded form. Success depends on staying hidden, avoiding traps set by the Inquisition, and stealing Quartz from the shadows rather than confronting enemies head-on.

Styx: Blades of Greed launches on February 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
