Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition is now available, bringing Ubisoft’s original 1995 platformer back in a collection built around preservation, bonus content, and behind-the-scenes material.
The release is available on Ubisoft+, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC through the Ubisoft Store and Steam.
Developed by Digital Eclipse in collaboration with Ubisoft Montpellier, this edition includes five versions of Rayman, covering its PlayStation, Atari Jaguar, MS-DOS, Game Boy Advance, and Game Boy Color games.
The focus stays on the original game, returning you to familiar locations like the Dream Forest and Band Land as Rayman works to rescue the Electoons and stop Mr. Dark.
A Preservation-Focused Collection
Rather than remastering the game, Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition keeps the original experience intact while adding material that expands how it can be played and explored. Alongside the base game, the collection includes a previously unreleased SNES prototype and more than 120 additional levels drawn from bonus level packs.
Quality-of-life options are also included, such as a rewind feature, infinite lives, and invincibility toggles, giving players more flexibility in how they approach the game. The soundtrack has also been revisited, with a reimagined version by original composer Christophe Héral.
Looking Back at Rayman’s Creation
The collection also includes an interactive documentary focused on the early development of Rayman. It features over 50 minutes of new interviews with the original development team, along with concept art, early sketches, and design documents that trace how the game came together.
This material sits alongside the game itself, giving you both the original experience and a clearer sense of how Rayman came together in the first place.
Are you jumping back into Rayman, or leaving this one as a nostalgia piece?
