Nintendo of Canada is celebrating Lunar New Year with a pair of in-store events across select Canadian retailers later this month. On February 14 and 15, families can drop in to try multiplayer games on the Nintendo Switch 2 and pick up a Mario-themed Lunar New Year envelope just for playing, while supplies last.

The events run from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. local time at participating locations.

Hands-On Nintendo Switch 2 Multiplayer

Each stop gives you a chance to jump into multiplayer favourites that are easy to pick up and fun to play together. Nintendo has confirmed the following games will be available to try:

These are short, hands-on demos meant for all ages, making them an easy activity if you’re already out shopping or looking for something family-friendly to do that weekend.

Mario-Themed Lunar New Year Giveaway

In addition to gameplay, Nintendo is offering a Mario-themed Lunar New Year envelope to visitors who take part in the demos. Supplies are limited, so availability may vary by location and time of day.

A Low-Key Way to Celebrate Lunar New Year

These Nintendo events are designed to be casual drop-ins rather than long demos or tournaments. If you’re already near one of the participating stores, it’s an easy way to check out Nintendo Switch 2 multiplayer games, especially if you’ve got kids or friends who enjoy quick, competitive matches.

If you’re planning to go, arriving earlier in the day may improve your chances of picking up the Lunar New Year envelope before supplies run out.
