| Dragon Quest VII Reimagined arrives this week on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. |
By Jon Scarr
This week’s Nintendo Download is a lighter update, but it still has a clear anchor. DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined is available now, bringing a long, slow-burn RPG back with modern touches that make it easier to stick with. Around that, you get a couple of Nintendo Switch Online additions, one big sports pre-order, and the usual spread of new eShop arrivals.
This week feels more about picking one thing and sticking with it.

DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined
DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined is available now on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The new art direction mixes diorama-style environments with classic character designs, which helps the world feel clearer without losing its identity.
The progression changes are the bigger deal. A streamlined main story cuts down some of the slowest stretches, and the Moonlighting system lets you equip two vocations at once. That extra flexibility makes party building more inviting over the long haul, especially once you start experimenting with roles and loadouts. If the original didn’t grab you the first time, this version makes a stronger case for sticking with it.
Game Boy – Nintendo Classics
Yoshi
Yoshi joins Nintendo Switch Online this week, and it still works as a quick puzzle game you can pick up for a few minutes at a time. Catch falling enemies, stack matches, and keep your trays under control as the pace ramps up. It starts simple, then gets stressful fast once the screen begins filling.
Balloon Kid
Balloon Kid is also available now for Nintendo Switch Online members. Floating through stages while managing momentum, enemies, and fragile balloons gives every section a bit of risk. Letting go of balloons to fight on foot changes the pace in a smart way, and it still holds up as a creative twist on classic side-scrolling design.

Pre-orders
MLB The Show 26
MLB The Show 26 is now available to pre-order on Nintendo Switch ahead of its March 17 launch. Nintendo highlights new Road to The Show mechanics, deeper Franchise updates, expanded customization, and the officially licensed Men’s NCAA College World Series. The Digital Deluxe Edition also includes up to four days of early access.
Nintendo Music
Tomodachi Life Soundtrack
The Tomodachi Life soundtrack is now available on Nintendo Music. Tracks like “Afternoon on the Island” and “Mii Apartments” make for easy background listening when you want something light on while you’re doing other things.
Nintendo eShop Sales
This week isn’t built around one big deal. It’s more of a broad sale, which makes it worth skimming the full list to see what lines up with what you already play on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2.

Wrapping up this week’s Nintendo Download
This Nintendo Download is carried by one big RPG release and a handful of smaller additions that round things out. DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined gives you a long RPG to play through, while Yoshi and Balloon Kid add quick classics for Nintendo Switch Online members.
If you’re in the mood to focus on one game instead of jumping between new things, this week fits that pace well.
