Basic Fun! has announced its first home arcade lineup since acquiring select Arcade1Up assets in 2025, confirming new PAC-MAN and Sonic the Hedgehog cabinets scheduled to release in Fall 2026. The announcement marks the first major expansion of the brand under its new ownership and introduces the first officially licensed Sonic the Hedgehog home arcade cabinet.
The new collection will be available through major retailers and continues the home arcade category established by Arcade1Up, bringing upright cabinets based on classic franchises into home setups.
PAC-MAN and Ms. PAC-MAN Lead the First New Collection
PAC-MAN and Ms. PAC-MAN will anchor the new lineup through Basic Fun!’s licensing agreement with Bandai Namco Entertainment. These cabinets continue the long-running home arcade presence of the franchise, which remains one of the most recognizable names from the original arcade era.
Basic Fun! confirmed the new machines are designed to recreate the original arcade format, with dedicated cabinets built around the classic gameplay experience rather than console versions or modern reinterpretations.
PAC-MAN has remained a central part of home arcade releases for years, and the new cabinets continue that legacy under Basic Fun!’s management of the Arcade1Up product category.
Sonic the Hedgehog Gets Its First Dedicated Home Arcade Cabinet
Sonic the Hedgehog will join the home arcade category for the first time through a new partnership between Basic Fun! and SEGA. The Sonic Supreme Series cabinet is a full-size standing arcade machine built around Sonic titles.
This release marks the first dedicated Sonic home arcade cabinet produced under official licensing, expanding the franchise into a format traditionally associated with arcade-originated games.
Basic Fun! also confirmed that additional Sonic cabinets are planned as part of a multi-year agreement with SEGA.
Home Arcade Hardware Continues Expanding Under Basic Fun!
The Fall 2026 lineup represents the first new collection released since Basic Fun! acquired key Arcade1Up assets. Arcade1Up previously established the home arcade category by producing compact and full-size cabinets based on classic arcade games.
Basic Fun!’s new releases continue that format, focusing on dedicated cabinets built around individual gaming franchises.
Release timing is currently set for Fall 2026, with additional cabinet announcements expected as the lineup expands.
