Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.6, titled Encore for an Old Dream, arrives on February 6 and brings new story content, new agents, and a slate of limited-time events tied to New Eridu’s Gilded Carrot Day celebration. The update also marks the in-game debut of the idol group Angels of Delusion, which becomes a key part of this chapter’s storyline. Zhao is also available as a login reward as part of the Version 2.6 update.
Sixth Street Returns During Gilded Carrot Day
Version 2.6 brings you back to the familiar avenues of Sixth Street as New Eridu gears up for its annual Gilded Carrot Day festivities. The update is positioned as an interlude after the culminating chapter of Season 2, setting up a new arc while keeping the focus on the city’s everyday pulse.
As the celebration builds across New Eridu, the story pulls Proxies into a new commission involving an illegal intelligent entity, opening the door to working with Jane Doe again on Sixth Street. The holiday atmosphere also spreads to the 404 Error music venue, where Angels of Delusion prepare for their first live performance under the guidance of a mysterious vocal coach.
Angels of Delusion Arrive With New Agents
Angels of Delusion debut in Version 2.6 with two new agents joining the roster, Sunna and Aria.
Sunna is an S-Rank Physical Support agent built around strengthening Attack and Anomaly teammates. Her kit revolves around marking enemies and triggering effects that deal damage while boosting the squad, with her Ultimate built to hit hard and keep your team rotating smoothly.
Aria, the group’s lead vocalist, is an Ether Anomaly agent with two distinct forms: a construct form and an idol projection. Her kit is built for burst damage, especially when enemies are already affected by Attribute Anomalies, and she’s designed to stay aggressive at close range.
Version 2.6 also adds Bangboo Biggest Fan, who supports the team by restoring HP and increasing squad Attack when at least two Angels of Delusion members are present. Sunna and Aria are also getting new outfits as part of the update.

Events Bring Rhythm Gameplay and a New Hollow Zero Mode
The centrepiece event for Version 2.6 is A Harmony of Delusions, which puts you in a backstage staff role supporting Angels of Delusion. You’ll manage training schedules and social media activities, with rhythm-based gameplay tied into helping the group build momentum toward their debut.
Hollow Zero also receives a new mode called Operation Matrix, built around weekly rotating themed stages with unique mechanics. Teams are structured around three Primary agents, one Bangboo, and one Auxiliary agent, alongside new Resonia and agent-specific Gears meant to deepen build variety.
A new Sweep function has also been added to Hollow Zero to streamline progression.

Rewards and Limited-Time Bonuses
Version 2.6 also brings a steady run of in-game rewards tied to daily play. The Inter-Knot Membership event offers Polychrome through regular activity, while the Gilded Surprise, Wonderful Boo-ns event runs from February 14 to February 23 and adds daily draws with a shared 4 billion Polychrome pool.
Alongside those events, the update includes balance adjustments for Lycaon and Harumasa, plus a limited-time outfit for Pan Yinhu. Taken together, Version 2.6 rounds out as a focused update that adds new story content, expands the roster, and gives players a reason to spend more time in New Eridu without overcomplicating the experience.
