Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is getting a new expansion later this month, with Fantastical Parade launching worldwide on January 29, 2026.
The update adds a new set of cards led by Mega Gardevoir, along with several gameplay changes aimed at expanding how players collect, trade, and battle inside the app.
Fantastical Parade Brings New Cards and Mega Evolutions
The Fantastical Parade expansion introduces new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards, with Ogerpon making its Pokémon TCG Pocket debut as Teal Mask Ogerpon ex. The set also features booster packs headlined by Mega Gardevoir, alongside a collection of festival-themed card artwork.
One of the bigger additions is the introduction of Stadium cards, which arrive as a new type of Trainer card. These affect the battlefield itself, adding another layer to how matches play out during battles.
If you enjoy building decks around specific mechanics or board control, this expansion looks like it will add a few new angles to experiment with.

New Features Arriving With the Update
Alongside the new cards, a free update will roll out on January 29 with a handful of quality-of-life additions.
A new Message Function is being added to trading, letting you choose preset messages to show whether you’re looking for a wishlisted card or one in a different language.
There’s also a new Random Battle option, which drops you into a match without revealing your opponent’s deck ahead of time.
Upcoming In-Game Events
Several limited-time events are also planned to roll out following the update:
- Elite Deck Gift Missions (Jan. 29 – April 26): Complete missions to earn a Fire-type Elite Deck featuring Mega Blaziken ex and Entei ex.
- Handy Card Collection Missions (Jan. 29 – April 26): Earn useful Trainer cards like Copycat and Giant Cape through special challenges.

Fantastical Parade Expansion Arrives January 29
With Fantastical Parade, Pokémon TCG Pocket continues to expand beyond basic card collecting, adding more depth to battles and more ways to interact with other players.
Between the introduction of Mega Evolution cards, new Stadium mechanics, and quality-of-life improvements to trading and battle features, this update adds a meaningful amount of new content to the app.
The Fantastical Parade expansion and its accompanying updates go live globally on January 29.
